One of my close friends is a big fan of Pink Floyd...

I have never understood the size of fascination with Pink Floyd. I enjoy some of their music and I greatly respect their success. Yes there is some important artistry by them, but being among the very best...okay, it's not my view. Led Zepplin has been one of the truly great bands. I find their antics and lifestyle completely unappealing, but the Blues rooted Heavy Metal power of their rhythms and long run of impactful music has been astounding. I wouldn't put them as my favorite, but no one can deny their standing and impact on the industry.
