BookerL it is "Coming to America" not "Come to America." You make it sound like Neil Diamond was some president's lackey lol. I realize English is not your first language but the song is about past immigration which built the USA, not a current plea for more citizens. I am myself a descendant of European immigrants to America. See this video:

When my great Grandfather came to this country in the early 20th century he came to Ellis Island just like the people in that video. He was given the family name by a guard at Ellis Island who told him the English word for what his name meant in his own language. That Ellis Island guard is responsible for a lot of people now running around America with that name.

Yes I like the song and I like many Americans consider it a tribute to our descendants who came here under extreme hardships and made better lives for themselves.

Regarding your mistake, I understand it happens with Francophones but the mistake you made kind of butchers and distorts the meaning of the song in this case.

booker they fall into the category of psychedelic rock. The Dark Side of The Moon is the first album I ever bought in high school and as far as that genre of rock it is top of the hill. Back in the 1970s they were battling Led Zeppelin for rock supremacy. They were not as prolific or productive as Led Zeppelin, and the band ultimately imploded in the early 1980s due to friction and fighting among the band's members.

As mentioned in a prior post, founding member Syd Barrett is considered a genius by many rock historians, but LSD use permanently messed up his head/brain and he became a dysfunctional lunatic who dropped out of the band. The song "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" is a song the other band members wrote as homage to Syd long after he left the band:
