I'm actually worried for the Blue Jays now.

OK, my picks for the East. I'll give a range of games won. Naturally, injuries and acquisition could affect outcomes.

1. Blue Jays 85-95
2. Red Sox 82-90
3. Rays 80-90
4. Orioles 73-83
5. Yankees 68-78

Let the excuses begin.:violin:

Sitting here watching the Sox play the Twins and the announcers are bouncing around. Right at the moment, the Twins announcers are in the Sox booth. One of the Twins' guys is just raving about every pitch Buchholz is throwing. His change. His slider. And his curveball. When the guy who threw the best hook in the last 50 years is raving about your stuff, it's gotta be pretty good. Bert Blyleven, once one of my favorite players, is now one of my favorite announcers.

Buchholz is putting on an absolute clinic tonight. Through four innings, he's allowed a hit and a single. Six punchados, but five of them have been against lefthanded hitters, all looking at a devastating two seamer. He's only throwing 91-92, but the two seamer, the hook, and the slider have all been deadly.

Looks like his final spring tune-up is over. Buchholz' final spring numbers, 22.2 innings, 12 hits, 2 earned, 6 walks. Next up...the light hitting Yankees and The House that Ruth Didn't Build. Wow, make that the light hitting $228,000,000 Yankees.

Don't look now, Doc, but methinks the hose are going to give the Jays and the Rays a run for it.

I say that he's on the DL by June.
You say a lot of things, Joe. If there were a Nobel Prize for being wrong, you'd be a wealthy man.

I'd like to see how the lineup performs before going that far.
The lineup will do just fine. Napoli is going to be a beast in Fenway. I lineup of Ellsbury, Pedroia, Middlebrooks, Ortiz, Napoli, Gomes, Victorino, and Iggy will do just fine. A bit weak at the bottom, but the front six should be about as strong as any in the league, Papi's health the key issue.

The bullpen with Hanrahan, Miller, Uehara, Bailey, and Aceves is probably the best in the league.

The Red Sox have released Ryan Sweeney. Time to measure him for pinstripes.

Looks like Jackie Bradley Jr. is shipping up to Boston.

Hahahahahaha.......... rumples October in March is in FULL EFFECT! Man you just cant make this shit up .....:D......:thumb:
I understand completely, iggy. Totally. In fact, if the Sox were dumpster diving for STARTING players the way the Yankees are, I'd probably have the same nervous reaction as you. Just think, the Yankees starting first and third basemen this season are Sox rejects. Lyle Overbay...really? ROFLMAO.

Lyle Overbay, Vernon Wells the 20 Million Dollar Man, Brennan Boesch and Ben Francisco. How championships are made. Heeheeheehee. They're actually going to play these guys. Guffaw. Guffaw. Guffaw. Guffaw. I guess $228,000,000 doesn't buy what it used to.

You are right, iggy. You can't make this shit up.

The easy answer is that Feinsand was wrong. Whatever amount the Yankees end up paying to Wells in 2014 will count towards the luxury tax.

I won't make any 2013 predictions until around opening day to account for any last minute trades or injuries, but I am not nearly as pessimistic about the Yankees' chances as what I've seen in the media.

Mo's ERA in spring training is spectacular to say the least, he looks absolutely fantastic, I completely agree with you chercher.

"When asked if there were any attractive outside options available, Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman responded, "We’ll see. You don’t have to be attractive right now," tweets Andy McCullough of the Newark Star-Ledger." According to McCullough, the new Yankee motto, taken directly from the Statue of Liberty is, ""Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to break [sic] free."

"Turning to Cashman's Yankees, CBS Sports' Jon Heyman pulled no punches when reviewing the club's offseason, writing that "no one had a worse spring training than baseball's most storied team, maybe ever." Heyman further reports that, in spite of their public proclamations and massive payroll, the Yanks' brass is very concerned internally about the club's prospects for 2013. Likewise, ESPN's Jim Bowden predicted that New York would finish last in the AL East, writing that the club could sport a losing record for the first time since 1995."

The inner workings of the mind of a dumpster diver. Baseball's only $228,000,000 is one pitiful mess.
