Then why did the cases spike right after Labor Day and when the bars were forced to close the cases still remain high? I am sure people were still having parties on the low during the summer.

Yes, the new cases spikes as soon as the kids are back to school, there are over 1000 schools in QC closed due to the outbreak in those school. It is the fact, and the numbers are there! But the media keep it low! Shutttt !Please do not mention it, Legault don't want to close the schools, so just keep it for yourself!

NY's governor Cuomo will be getting an Emmy for his Coronavirus press briefings. This will help him with his book tour.

I think his skills would translate well if he had chosen to be an actor rather than politician. Reagan did both careers, and I think Cuomo could pull that off too. I could see him playing the Steven Van Zandt role in Lilyhammer.

I have an idea:
A new lottery, "The COVID lottery"

If we have COVID, what consequences will we have? we put all the possibilities in a vase and you get it.

Nothing, or Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), anxiety, cardiovascular abnormalities, depression, carbohydrate metabolism disorders, hyperlipidemia, lipid metabolism disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, reduced lung capacity, chronic fatigue, loss of taste and smell.

What`s really scary for thousands of young people (between 20 and 40) , is the chronic illnesses they are left with after experiencing and recovering from a mild case of covid19.
Post covid symptoms :
Partial paralysis, tingling and trembling in hands and feet, trouble with balance, excrutiating headaches , trouble sleeping , fatigue, unable to concentrate and memory loss. Its like they`ve aged 50 years overnight.
Nobody knows what causes these health issues but the 2 main candidates are an auto-immune over reaction , and/or small blood clots forming in the brain and other vital organs.

Over 3 million people travelling in the US so far, more to come.
People completely ignoring the spiking virus and all scientists telling them to stay home and not have large family gatherings.

This is obviously not their fault none of these people have a mind of their own they cannot be held responsible for their actions.
It is that fucking big Orange asshole‘s fault he should have known this. He should have closed down all airports locked down all cities during the Thanksgiving weekend and had the army declaring a curfew.
All this will obviously change as Biden has a way with words to reach into these peoples hearts and mindless heads.

I think they’re fed up Fradi. Fed up with politicos telling them to stay home and then later see videos and photos of that very same politician out eating at an exclusive restaurant like Gavin Newsom or Tom Wolf or out getting their hair did like Nancy Pelosi or Mayor Beetlejuice Lori Lightfoot. How about those west coast liberal law makers traveling to Hawaii for a conference? Why the hell would anyone listen to those stupid edicts by those fucking hypocrites?

laws for thee and not for me.

Never the big Orange asshole of Orange would have done that, he prefers to have good numbers for unemployment than good numbers in terms of deaths.

Die my fellow citizens in your cars going to look for food.

Die my fellow citizens in your cars going to look for food.
You have a one track mind and Donald fixation.
Reply to what I wrote if you quote me, your fellow citizens are not dying waiting in cars for food, they are dying being mindless idiots crowding in airports and planes and carrying the virus to give it to all their other mindless loving relatives.

Perhaps Hungry is right they are just fed up of hypocritical politicians telling them to do one thing and then completely ignoring it for themselves as if they are better than the average Joe, which for sure is most scumbag politicians mindset.

So, it is being mentioned that COVID cases could get to 20,000 - 60,000 per day across the country by the end of the year.

Daily increases in cases seem to be not changing much in Quebec but isn't the recent spike in cases across the country still quite worrisome since movement still happens between the provinces?

Update:

Yesterday in the United States = 175,000 new cases and almost 2,200 deaths
The closest country is India = 35,000 new cases.
What are The United States doing for their dead? soon 260,000

No time for prayers, much less to hug them before the long trip :(

Connecticut Governor Lamont has stopped short of a lockdown that will cripple small businesses, but yesterday announced a $10,000 fine for businesses not in compliance with State Covid rules:

.

This is a case of the few bad apples spoiling things for everyone else. This is what always happens and you can't stop the bad apples or totally root them out. There have been a few highly publicized episodes of Covid noncompliance in CT, including by an underground club in the New Haven area which had 500 maskless persons in its parking lot watching a fistfight between 2 customers. It took local police 30 minutes to disburse the crowd. This kind of nonsense causes super spread clusters that can whip through a community.

The increase in fines is justified for the idiots you’ve described but the fines along with the sometimes ridiculous rules imposed on small businesses that play by the rules are out of line. Most of the small businesses in our region play by the rules and are rewarded with lockdowns, shutdowns, more restrictions etc. Governors are trying to fix complex problems with one broad stroke and it doesn’t work. Closing restaurants at 10 pm, closing gyms at 10 pm, does Covid only become an issue after 10 pm? I’m agreeing with what your saying, especially with the examples you have used, but our governors are killing the small businesses that are the very backbone of this country.

Over the summer India had nearly 100,000 new cases and 1,500 deaths but no mention about that here. But now that CNN has announced that Joe Biden is the president elect, the USA cases are at record highs. Shame on Biden for allowing this to get out hand. Let’s hope Biden doesn’t shit the bed when he distributes the vaccines from Trump’s initiative, Warp Speed.

The coronavirus is not instantaneous, it takes several weeks.

This is not a joke it is very serious.

India is very far away, the USA are our neighbors.

There you have 88,000 people hospitalized, and offloading is being considered.

I never said this is a joke. What is a joke is how you politicize everything and when you get called out on it you spin it to try and change the narrative. I pointed out how nobody was mentioning India when they had their crisis over the summer. The fact they are halfway around the world means nothing to the USA/canada since our border is closed. Yes, many are hospitalized in the USA, but with the therapeutics that the USA has developed and the protecting of our seniors (NY excluded) along with people that have co morbidities many will survive. But many more lives will be saved because of Operations Warp Speed. When the vaccine becomes available to you (America First) you can then protest by stepping aside because of your political beliefs and let someone else get the vaccine. Put your money wear your mouth is.

So why would the Canadian not have worked on vaccine production facilities the last few months.
For the disclosure. I have dual citizenship so I can talk about both countries as my own. The reason that Canada does not have much high tech is simple. Everything technologically decent is sucked down south. There are numerous examples especially after WWII. Sometimes US big corporation deliberately destroys Canadian high-tech that does not want to surrender or is starting an alternative cooperation with Europe. Bright young people move south in masses. In the opposite direction it just a trickle. The question is why US can’t just help the northern brother? US wouldn’t even notice some additional 20-30 million doses.
