Hi, although I don’t spend a lot of time here, your question stimulated some reflection. Since I started seeing SPs I have been really curious about their work and experiences. Partially this curiosity could be described as ethnographic, in that I want to know more about this world which is new to me. I think it’s also a way to better understand where the women I’ve met are coming from so that my encounters with them go better. The more I know about what sex work is like, the less likely I am to misstep.

Indies all have their own method for screening, and they don't always require a reference; some offer to screen with a deposit, or and ID even. It's usually written on their website, take your time to read it. My advice is to contact those who have a screening method you can provide and are comfortable with. Otherwise, I don't think agencies ask for references so it could be your solution.

I edited my post after but here's what I added: my advice is to only contact those who have a screening method you can provide and are comfortable with.
