To indies: When you screen a client and get his ID, how long do you hold onto it? Like lets say you meet him, have a great session, he is clean and polite, etc. Then he leaves. How long do you keep his ID in your saved camera roll if you never see him again?

I’ve never saved an ID in my camera roll, as a matter of fact, the few times I have asked for IDs, I’ve asked them to send them in a new email so that it doesn’t show in the email thread and I can just delete that one (the one with the ID)

When do you delete it then? Assuming the meeting went great and you have no further use for his ID. Do you delete the mail after a month, 6 months, a year, etc

When clients give me providers names as a reference, most of the time, I have no way of knowing if the person was asked or not. There's a provider who advertises here that I keep getting as a reference from clients, and although she is super sweet I am paranoid I am bothering her.
Many providers do not give references or get very upset if their names are given without asking... It makes me feel very anxious, because I've had providers I didn't know get very angry at me over text. I really recommend asking the person.
My feelings about this is that if I've seen the client recently, he can use my name as a reference without asking once or twice. Otherwise, I feel uncomfortable.
When the same client keeps using my name multiple times as a reference, something feels off. Particularly if I haven't seen him in a long time, and specifically if I've only seen him once.
It's not because I want to keep clients to myself, I just sometimes don't have that much to remember about someone I saw for a very short period of time many many months ago. Also, clients treat us differently.
That being said, a lot of Indy Companion members are totally ok with having their names given as a reference to other members because we are a collective

But can there be some jealousy or fear of losing a good client by asking an SP to be a reference?
For example, let’s say a client is a regular with an SP and things are going well. He wants to keep being a regular, but is also interested in seeing SP #2 (who asks for references).
Can it be that the first SP might be jealous, and fear losing a good client, by providing a reference?
I know it’s case by case and not all ladies would react the same way, but I’m just wondering.

Yes, absolutely. Some providers won't even do duos because they are afraid their client will be ''stolen'' by the other provider. This is a competitive industry, not everyone has the same level of privilege, and not everyone puts in the same amount of work to get the same results. I think from what I've seen, some providers can become very territorial and aggressive about it..
I'm not jealous if a colleague sees a client of mine and I'd rather help them feel safe if that happens, but I understand the fear of losing good clients, 100%. Would I act on that fear and start bullying a colleague who I feel threatened by or preventing her from having access to certain things? No way. That's disgraceful behavior, in my opinion, and it's disempowering to all sex workers.

I think if she's the only provider you're seeing at the moment, and you're a generous client who sees her regularly, it's only normal to be worried about hurting her feelings or making her feel insecure.. but it wouldn't be as if you're doing something bad
