There is more talent in Toronto. Montreal agencies have had the same girls bounce from agency to agency for several years. Montreal’s fees will continue to rise until they price themselves out of existence. Hotel fees post Covid are similar. As far as things to do in between appointments, Toronto has a lot more going on. So yes, I am willing to pay more for Toronto at least for the coming summer so I can do a little research. Montreal used to have a lot of great restaurants, bars, clubs, etc. along with affordable talent and it was a no brainer. Post Covid, Montreal has been a consistent let down every time I visit and the increased homeless issue doesn’t help. I do perceive a better overall experience in Toronto. I hope I’m wrong, Montreal is a closer trip for me. But, I am ok with traveling a little further for some variety.
Yeah, I mean there's lots of providers here but 80% look almost identical. If you're into that, cool, but that's not variety, just numbers, and those numbers are all higher than Montreal; higher hotel cost, higher provider rates, higher traffic congestion, etc.

I go to the Dominican Republic regularly, and the prices are very high. Even though their average income is five times less than in Canada, the prices are equivalent to independent escorts here. The prices there are in US dollars, and if you want the girl to come to your hotel, you have to pay an extra US$100 for her entry. So, to have a girl in your room, it's close to 500 Canadian dollars.
your point is you'd think in DR prices would be more fitting if they are about 5x less then in Canada but they aren't.

what accounts for this... price setting? with such a nice 'premium'.... given time in a free market entry in a poor envirnoment... wouldn't many more DR girls flood their own market? maybe it already did, but prices didn't go down... (i dunno how long their prices have been premium) so, seems like price setting collectively.

I am old enough to remember when Asservissante raised its hourly rate from $160 to $180 in 2008. Martin finally posted that he had to increase the rates because of price of gas. Thread here:
Complaining about the increases in rates has been an annual thread since MERB began in 2003. This is because nobody likes paying for sex. They want it to be free.

Probably the explosion of tourists caused the prices go up. Post covid ppl are travelling like crazy, sex tourism is probably at an all time high.

Exactly this lol

Free or cheap things are indeed nice to get/pay.

But inflation is to blame for. Everything looks more expensive.

good dig up of an old thread...when you look at it objectively, 50% increase over almost 20 years seems actually on the low side of inflation.

for me what has changed is the frequency. Whereras in 2006-2008 i was seeing sex workers a few times a year, now i have gotten used to a lot more, that is the big reason i am price sensitive, cause my frequency has gone way up (obviously not the provider's problem lol).

The thing that gets to me is not so much the price it is the declining quality of the SPs. Before you were more or less guaranteed GFE. Now it is nothing more then a marketing tactic. SPs not doing DFK, some only giving BBBJ to circumcized men. SPs talking through the session or just a uninspired service.

meh. nobody likes to pay for anything. except possibly something that buys assurance of xyz.

i wouldn't make it nearly sound like sex is the exception and we are willing to pay for other things but yet want sex to be free, and suggest because of that, it leads to these kinds of threads.

what people/guys are willing to pay for are chicks they can't tap, in the interest of time, or the frequency they need of it, etc.

the complaint can be seen as the proportion of it sucking out of your monthly pay check... like that damn mobile phone bill, etc. something just simply like this.

Not really, I was just clarifying post #186 for hobbyist who wants to go to DR which said that the DR market was similar to Thailand, because if a hobbyist goes to DR they would be in for a nasty surprise thinking that the DR market is as cheap as Thailand
