I brought up Massachusetts as an outlier a few days ago. It’s a state notorious for hating normal, heterosexual men and the corrupt media played a role in exposing client names. Factor in corrupt politicians and one party rule because of gerrymandering and you have something bordering on totalitarianism.

That’s misguided. Many agencies in NYC and NNJ have been operating for years, without incident. Oftentimes those that got busted did something stupid.

Was this a zero risk business proposition before these news stories? If you choose to be a client you accept some risk. And always did. For the 20 years I was actively involved I was keenly aware of risks I was taking. I sought to minimize the risks by doing common sense things like using burner phones, not making a lot of noise, doing business with reputable providers or agencies, and in the case of doorman buildings I stayed at, behaving very discreetly.
Well statistically speaking, I would say that it's a reset and the probability and odds are new now!
Statistics need to be based on data which is available as evidence. There is no new evidence of any client arrests. There is no basis for new probabilities or odds. It's the same as it always was. There is risk. As David Byrne once sang, "Same as it ever was."
