Look behind you.
If i'm the habs GM, i will never make this trade. RNH is too fragile. Yakupov is a tremendous bust.
"Hey Peter, I'll send you PK Subban and my first-round pick for Connor McDavid." Chiarelli will likely say 'no way!!', and here's where it gets interesting: "Peter, let me add Carey Price to the offer if you add Cam Talbot." If i'm Peter Chiarelli, i'm not sure i'm saying no to that offer.

From what I am reading RNH will not be traded, as for Yak there is/was not much interest in him earlier, either Hall or Eberle or both.
For your second part concerning McDavid........... Not in a million years, do not care if they throw in Stubban and Price plus a pick or two, not gonna happen.
With giving up their first round pick ( was mentioned in the news today ) plus Hall and Eberle to offer I think he has all the trade bait he needs.

Yea, no way Chia will trade McDavid. If Subban were to be traded to Edmonton it would defiantely take Hall or Eberle for starters. If i were Marc B, i would demand Hall and the Oilers first round pick in the 2016 draft but i doubt Bergy would do it even though he should in a second. You have to remember it was Geoff Molson who told Bergy to give PK that money and term as Bergy wanted to get PK signed for less so Molson will be in on any decision concerning Subban so likely he stays in Mtl unless the offer is very favorable to Mtl. Maybe Hall, Eberle, Yakupov and the first rounder for Subban, Plekanec, Fucale and Mtl's first rounder. Oh wait, that is a true HOCKEY TRADE and they do not happen much anymore, so forget it haha.

Ray Ferraro just said on TSN Radio that Arizona is expected to make a huge pitch in order to be able to draft local boy Auston Matthews. As of today, Arizona holds the 7th spot. This is very likely to change come April 30th. But Ferraro did add that he doubts very much the teams in the 1-3 spots will trade any of those players since Matthews and the two Finns are absolute gems. He also doubts Arizona would be willing to trade stud defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson.

I was thinking the same thing. They know Ottawa would pick him up right away. They also do not want to pay him the balance of his contract and have him come back to haunt them. However he's a good coach and had a good year for a team that was in transition mode.

Justin Abdelkader cowardly assaults Tampa player

Without a couple of its top players, the Tampa Lightning are kicking Detroit's butts in the first round of the playoffs. The cowards they are, the Red Wings lashed out a few cheap shots at the end of last night's game. The coward Justin Abdelkader (who's grandfather was a Nazi) sucker punched several times the Lightning's Mike Blunden. And then when Blunden was finally able to get up on his feet, Abdelkader refused to fight him one-on-one. What a coward!!!

What was funny was that old man Brad Richards (he's lousy, he should retire!) grabbed Nikita Nesterov of the Lightning and tried to start something. But the Russian, whom i doubt had ever fought before, turned the tables on him and beat the crap out of the old man!!!

I love it!!!! :thumb:

Gee, maybe Pavel Datsyuk has had enough of those bunch of losers & may be heading back to Russia for good sooner than later! :D

Here's a clip of the incidents at the end of last night's game:

Abdelkader cowardly attacks Blunden

p.s. Abdelkader may face sanctions from the league for his cowardly attack.

I agree. Had they not choked big time at the end of the season, they would have easily been in the playoffs while the cowardly Red Wings would have been out.

The Bruins need to rebuild that defence. I don't have a problem with the forwards, but the defencemen are terrible and Chara is a shadow of his ol' self. But surprisingly, he's still their best defenceman, which just goes to show how bad the defence is.

I also think it's time for them to look elsewhere for a true #1 goaltender. Tukka Rask isn't as sharp (or young) as he once was. I don't think the Bruins can go very far in the playoffs in future seasons if Tukka Rask is still their #1 goalie. Maybe it's time to call-up Malcolm Subban and give him a chance at the #1 job.

Tampa Lightning are kicking Detroit's butts in the first round of the playoffs.

Meanwhile, golf courses all over North America are kicking the Leafs' butts - as they have been doing since the end of the 2005/2006 season (they did get a slightly late start in doing so at the end of the shortened 2012/2013 season  ).

There he is! I was getting worried he might have went off the deep end after the biggest choke job in all of sports with this seasons habbies team, good to see all is well mon ami :)

Doc, i am seeing a lot of canadians fans around that are getting the same sense we are, that the Leafs will be a MUCH better team than them very soon and for years to come, they are scared!

No my friend, starting a season 9-0 and having every canadian's fan posting all over the net that this was possibly one of the greatest habbies teams ever and "this team is something special", that choke job wins em all but you habs fans were right, that team certainly was "special"

I was listening to L'Antichambre & Dave Morissette En Directe the other day and they were saying that they like the direction the Leafs are going and that they'll definitely be a team to watch within just a few years from now. Heard the same thing on JC Lajoie's show the other day. It almost seemed like long-time habs fans were envious of Leafs Nation and if i didn't know better, i'd swear they wanted to drop the habs for the Leafs!! :D

Have we seen the last of the great Pavel Datsyuk in the NHL??

Everyone is fairly certain that he'll no longer suit up for the Detroit Red Wings. Many believe he's heading to the KHL and he's stated it'd be for personal reasons. He'd want to play in Russia (his homeland) before he's too old to play, plus for family reasons. He has a 13 year-old daughter in Russia.

But one of the panelists (Mike Zygomanis) on TSN just said that he doesn't buy it. He firmly believes that it's nothing but a ploy to be traded to another NHL team. And if the team refuses, then he'll head to the KHL and Detroit will be on the hook for a $7 million cap hit next season.

By the way, congratulations to Steve Yzerman and the Tampa Lightning for totally destroying the Detroit Red Wings and send them where they really belong: on the golf course. :D

The Red Wings totally embarrassed themselves in these playoffs and i don't remember seeing a team get beat so hard and show to the world they simply did not belong with the rest of the teams currently in the playoffs.
