Look behind you.
My Oilers still suck but just got 2 wins, looks like Boston just had a bad time in Alberta, never expected that.

I kind of expected it. Boston is an average team at best and road trips out west are never easy, even when the opponent are the Oilers.

By the way, what astonishes me about the Oilers is that their problems aren't really that hard to solve. Just trade a couple of their younger 'stars' and they'll get a bunch of quality veterans in return which will very likely turn the franchise's fortunes around. The first thing i'd do is rebuild that defence with the players i'd get in return.

I Agree with Doc on what needs to be done in Edmonton, but it's easier said then done. There is salary cap and many veteran players don't want to go there. It won't be easy turning that team around.

Wings : 7-0-3 in the last 10, thanks to sniper Nyquist's overtime winner tonight. Dylan Larkin still leading the league in plus/minus at plus 19.

That is known throughout the industry.

Stamkos: Why is this guy not signed to a long term contract by steve why, yet?

Many have been asking this question since last year. Many believe he'd like to play for his hometown team.

Or maybe he wants to sell his services to the highest bidder once he becomes UFA.

When is the last time an NHL superstar IN HIS PRIME ever left his original team in order to sign with the highest bidder? Has it ever happened in the NHL?

I hope Stamkos becomes unrestricted free agent and signs with the Leafs. It would be good for the Leafs and the player.

One of the leagues top players, playing for the leagues best coach in a top NHL city? Interesting.

Name-calling does not belong in this thread.

The correct name of the hockey genius you refer to is Steve Yzerman, or if you prefer to use his correct nickname, Stevie Y.

Of course it would be good for both. Stammer would be able to enjoy that home cooking every night, playing in front of family and friends in his hometown for his boyhood team, a dream come true. Also he would instantly make the Leafs rebuild very close to being complete or at least way ahead of schedule. Don't let your blue and white hate cloud good judgement buddy, you are better than that ;)

PS....he likely would also have 100 million rea$ons to come "home" as well... With that said, He will probably sign a extension with Tampa LOL
It would be good for the Leafs, certainly...but for Stamkos certainly NOT.

I don't know where Stamkos will sign. I'm not even sure i'd want him with the Leafs at the kind of money he'll expect to be paid. Same thing with PK Subban....i'd like to have him with the Leafs, but not at $9 million US per season. But one thing i'm 100% certain of: Stamkos will never sign with the Detroit Red Wings. He knows better. Decent organization, but one of the worst cities to live in North America.

Boyzzz!

man oh man is Chara looking old out there versus the canadians tonight, he is definately showing signs of a very old player getting older. Mike Milbury (who rarely says anything i agree with) said it is time for a 20 minute per game Zedeno Chara to play in the NHL versus the still 24 mpg Zedeno Chara, i partially agree except at 20 minutes per game, he should likely be a #5 dman and get about 16-17 mpg

True, but i'd take an old Chara over an old Markov and an ineffective $9 million/year defenceman named Subban anytime! :D
