John Scott may not be at the all-star game, after all.....

The NHL may have found a loophole in order to avoid the embarrassment of having enforcer John Scott participating at the upcoming all-star game. The Arizona Coyotes sent him down to the AHL. If he remains in the minors by the time the all-star game comes around, he will not be eligible for the NHL all-star game.

Look behind you.
Damn, my Oilers are second last in all the teams, sickening.... The only plus I can see is that they are only 6 points out of a playoff spot but they played 3 or so extra games. McDavid returns after the All-Star break which should bring a few more points in.

I doo not think the fans really care anymore, they just show up to see if anything new happens. Thought with turfing MacT and Lowe things would change, only change was that the Oilers spent more money for nothing... Hey, that reminds me of a song.... now to find my cereal and have a cigar..... Damn, another song.
I enjoy watching hockey no matter which team plays.

What astonishes me is the fact the same problems seem to plague the team season after season. As a team such as Nashville showed, a strong defence will win games for you. Trading any one of their young guns would fetch a couple of top-notch defencemen. I had heard rumours that Nashville may have even traded Shea Webber to the Oilers for one or two of those forwards had they been interested. Not it's too late after the Preds traded Seth Jones for Ryan Johansen. Seth Jones would have looked great wearing an Oilers jersey.

And they should have tried to get a proven goalie. James Reimer for one would have been available. Cam Talbot was proven as a back-up goalie, but not more and yet, they turned around and gave him all that money and he hasn't played up to expectations.

For Max Domi? ROFL!

Actually the habbies more likely got back a $20 Tim Horton's Gift Card and a bag of pucks... Tinordi was a bust!
Tinordi traded to Arizona

The habs have finally found an ounce of compassion and just gave defenceman Jared Tinordi his freedom. He was just traded to the Arizona Coyotes. Details will follow.

You have GOT TO BE KIDDING? If true, it has to be something plus JS as a throw in. Tinordi ain't worth much but ig Bergervin trades JT for JS straight up, he can kiss his job goodbye lol

Update....Bobby Mac says Stefan Elliott and big john scott for tinordi

I'm hearing that some guy named Stefan Elliott is also part of the deal and heading to Montreal. Who's Stefan Elliott?? First time i heard of him.

So basically, it's an all-star and a journeyman for another prospect. Elliott is a 24-year old defenceman who also played for Colorado. He was also put on waivers (same with Scott) this season.

p.s. Both Chris Nilan and Georges Laracque are currently contemplating a comeback since they say they can still skate better than John Scott, they are stronger and can hit.

Georges Laracque just said that George Parros is an NHL legend compared to John Scott.

Nilan is repulsed!

When two former enforcers are absolutely pissed off at the habs welcoming another enforcer, it's become a circus!

It will be interesting what happens with John Scott in Montreal. The habs not only are getting an all-star, but an all-star captain. Is the move being made to put pressure on Max Pacioretty?? Is the move to help Max Pacioretty? Could it mean that John Scott may become the next habs captain?? :noidea:

The habs just sent Stefan Elliott to Nashville for some bum named Victor Bartley. He's 27 and expected to play for St-John's this season. He spent the season in the minors. Unbelievable!!!

Been reading that Chiraelli is looking to trade RNH ASAP if the right deal is available. Now, if he trades for anything but a defenseman or goalie I will become a fan of another team.

RNH is sooooooooooo overrated. Sol, there is always room on the habbies bandwagon these days, they have been jumping ship left and right the last few weeks and especially today with Bergy's blockbuster trades.

According to Sportsnet, Oilers GM Peter Chiarelli offered Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to the Predators for Seth Jones a couple of weeks ago. However, the Predators GM instead preferred to trade Jones for Columbus' Ryan Johansen.

Now that the word is out that Edmonton was willing to part with RNH, teams will come calling.

From what I've heard, the habs traded Tinordi as a favour to the player. He was not in their plans. And that was the best deal available. Nobody was prepared to give more. His value was at an all time low. Best of luck to him . He's a good kid.

Drouin trade imminent?

There are currently at least 8 teams scouting Jonathan Drouin. I know that one of them are the habs since assistant GM Rick Dudley has been seen at the games.

The Rays nearly made a trade with the Blue the other day, but the deal fell through.
