Sweden scores... This will be known live in real time to all German currently on the turf in their own game. Should make that game more interesting against Korea :)

p.s. to those who are less familiar. They play these last game at the same time in each group to avoid matches being set up.

it could be the final game easily. you got cancel anything you had planned ;)

not many player could have scored messi's goal today. Look at it slowy, takes a 40 foot volley with his right leg, quick bounce by his left foot to place the ball for a right foot kick (not messi's natural foot) all while running full speed with a player 2 feet from him. Magic goal. Very few player can do such magic.

cheers,

I checked and last France Argentina was in Buenos Aires 1978 Maradona and Platini

I am very surprised by Sweden. I did not expect them to jump on Mexico like this after their very unimpressive play second half against Germany when they did absolutely nothing except knock down a lot of German crossing passes with good defensive formations.

Wow Koreans are as happy as if they had won the world cup :) They eliminated the reigning champions, number 1 team in the world! I like football :)

New Champions this year ! Maybe England - Belgium tomorrow is like a half Final ?

No because both team are qualified already, someone correct me if I am wrong. So both will probably rest top player and send a B team. Avoid yellow cards. Play a boring game with will end up in a 0 - 0 tie ;)

Unglück Germany!!!

Germany’s lethargy from the start? Their lack of pace? Their curious tactics? Their loss of composure as time ran out? There are going to be a lot more questions on where it all went wrong in the next few days.

Yeah England and Belgium are just playing for seeding. I don’t understand why they don’t flip a coin. Flipping a coin is a lot easier than having to play a tie breaker game in which guys are rested and everyone has to behave like a choir boy. Fans don’t need to see it. Flip a coin and move on.

Not only did Germany get knocked out in first round for the first time since 1938 when Hitler was their #1 fan, but they finished last in their Group. Will their coach be relieved of his duties?

Belgium definitely has the credentials to go all the way and are an exiting team to watch.

Let's hope they don't go the way of the Dutch who were arguably the best team in three World Cup finals and hold the record with not winning any of them.

They didn't get to any finals but the Dutch teams of the '90s were pretty special, too, especially that '98 squad with Bergkamp ...

The best player on the 1998 Dutch team was Patrick Kluivert, who was around 21 years old at the time, although he seemed to peak as a player at the 1998 World Cup and thereafter declined as a player. Within 6 years he was no longer even on the Dutch team. I think he had off field and conditioning/party boy issues. He was very good in 1998 and teams playing the Dutch had to focus on him.

Ungluck Germany! Germany’s lethargy from the start? Their lack of pace? Their curious tactics? Their loss of composure as time ran out? There are going to be a lot more questions on where it all went wrong in the next few days.

And the gods of football smiled down upon them, shook their heads and said, no, not this time. Let it be someone else ...

What happened to Germany had more to do with their team being garbage than the Soccer Gods. They were criticized for their first game as looking like garbage and except for the last 10 minutes against Sweden when they played like their collective hair was on fire, they were garbage in this tournament. They finished last in a Group that is nothing special (to say the most about it) what more needs be said.
