It's early but so far this season feels like an episode of the Twilight Zone. Like how the Giants have a better record than the Packers (including beating the Pack), or the Saints not being formidable, or Dak Prescott getting injured and Cowboys only beating garbage teams. Ok ok, that last one happens every year yuk yuk.

Tom Brady is finally starting to show his age & no one could have predicted that they'd lose to Carolina & lose badly. Aaron Rodgers also appears very human this season & the lack of depth (and talent) at the wide receiver position is a big reason why the Packers have struggled & now look like a risk of missing the playoffs.

The Giants & Cowboys have surprised a lot of people. When Dak Prescott went down everyone was saying they wouldn't win a game again until November & they surprised everybody by going on a winning streak with Cooper Rush taking over the QB duties. And the Giants are playing very good football also but i wasn't as surprised since i expected big things coming from rookie head coach Brian Dabol, who was the former offensive coordinator in Buffalo. I figured he'd figure out a way to guide Daniel Jones properly & make the most out of his offensive weapons. Getting Wink Martindale to run the defence was a major move & having a healthy Shaqaan Barkley was also a big factor. But don't get me wrong: the Giants aren't as good as their record seems to indicate. They've been very fortunate & have made the most out of their opportunities. But they're also fortunate that they play in a weaker conference.

Here are my four teams that i predict will make it to the final 4 prior to the Superbowl: Buffalo, KC, SF & Philly.

Big game coming up for the Bills & Vikings. Josh Allen will be a game-time decision & i’m being he’ll play. I’m picking a close game which the Bills will win. I have a feeling the defence will have a big game. Lots of sacks & interceptions. The Vikings in my opinion are not as good as there record indicates.

I’m also picking the Seahawks to upset the Bucaneers in their early game in Germany. Just a gut feeling. And in my final pick i’m picking the Steelers in a close one.

Go Bills!

2 straight sloppy games by Josh Allen have led to 2 straight sloppy losses by the Bills. He may have been playing hurt and I give him some credit for that, but he needs to clean up the mistakes. On another note, how about them Vikings? Best record in the NFL.

That Vikings-Bills game. Holy shit. Bound to be one of the best from this season.

Key injuries to QB Lamar Jackson & Jimmy Garapolo yesterday. Jackson is expected to at least miss a few weeks while Jimmy G is out for the year & the Niners will now have their third string QB for the rest of the entire season since their two top QB are out for the year. The Niners are fortunate that they play in a weak conference but Baltimore was lucky to squeeze a victory from the Broncos yesterday and are battling for a playoff spot with many other teams.

The Bills-Jets game should be a dandy next Sunday in Buffalo. Go Bills!

I’m hearing that Booker Mayfield will be released by the Panthers later today. i’m betting he signs with the Niners. I think he’d be a great fit on that team & have been saying so since last season.

49ers playing great football with Mr. Irrelevant Brock Purdy now leading the team! He was the last overall pick in the last NFL draft. I’d rather have him as my QB than either Trey Lance or Jimmy Garrapolo to tell you the truth. Go Niners!

He may not play and if he does he definitely will not be "OK." There is a 6-8 week recovery period on a high ankle sprain and you are supposed to give the ankle ice, elevation and rest for that period. He is only going to have 1 week, not 6-8. And also the whole World knows exactly where he is hurting. This is not like the sissified NHL where they say things like "lower body injury" so the NHL player does not get hit in the ankle. NFL players are expected to be warriors and if they "man up" and play, they expect to be hit, including in the precise area of the injury.

If Mahomes does play, he will have no mobility, leaving him vulnerable to the pass rush of the Bengals, and this will limit his ability to extend plays, which normally when he is healthy his ability in that regard is excellent.
