Lindstrom went to the CBJ covered blow jobs, so the Montreal Habs "settled" for Ivan Demidov, who might actually be the most talented guy in the draft. But some people said that about Alex Galchenyuk too. Will Demidov handle the temptations of Montreal better than Galchenyuk did?

This Habs management team is extremely smart & patient with their young players. With the team not expected to make the playoffs & the team likely still in rebuilding mode the fact the player still has a year left on his KHL contract is a blessing for them & possibly was one of several reasons why they picked him. There is no hurry for him to play for the habs & once his current contract expires he’ll come to America & join the habs when he’s NHL ready. It wouldn’t surprise me if he ends up in Laval for the start of the 2025-26 season & will join the big team when they deem him ready. Montreal is a very tough market to play in for a young player. Especially one from a foreign country.

Chucky should have been sent back to his junior team. He had missed his entire last year of junior due to knee surgery & sending him back for another year would have been beneficial to his development. Another problem is that instead of having him stay with one of the team veteran’s family he ended up staying on his own & knowing how Mtl nightlife can be tempting we all know how this turned out. At the time an sp from Eleganza had told me they were dating. But she wasn’t the only hot girl he was dating at the time & it caused problems. And his family didn’t help. Top agents later mentioned that his mingling father was a headache to deal with. But all this could have been avoided had he been sent back to Sarnia for a year & then the team should have been more hands on once he’d made the team.

With the exception of the guy who was picked at #3 by the Ducks, all of the players in the top 5 are supposed to be NHL-Ready, plug and play players. Meaning their teams can, and will be expected to rush them. You think the Sharks are not going to throw Celebrini and Dickinson right in there? They are better than anyone the Sharks have right now. If Demidov is as good as the scouts say he is, he can be thrown in there right away. On the first line of the Canadiens. Not even trying to buy him out from a team that needs money is a weak, leave options on the table measure. I favor aggressive development of young players. The good ones take their lumps and get better, the weak shall perish.. Also, you can find out quickly what you have on your hands.

Her dramatic call of the draft pick was rivalled only by Philadelphia native son Michael Buffer announcing the Flyer's 1st round pick. Both Celine Dion and Michael are Buffer paid a lot of money to use their voices, and they both came through big for their home teams.

There is a report in the NY Post that the NY Rangers are working on a trade of Trouba (whom they really do not need) to the Red Wings to free up money to sign Stamkos. Trouba has a no trade clause, but it's believed he will waive it to play in his native Michigan. He grew up near Detroit.
