FYI, tous mes clips proviennent des archives des journaux disponibles sur le site archives nationales (BNAQ). Surprenamment, celles du Journal de Montréal ne sont pas disponibles. Les plus vieux extraits proviennent du Montréal Matin et les plus récents, de la Presse.
Les clients en 2006 : "sont où les filles de 18 à 21 ans? Je m'ennuie de l'année 1990!"
C'est vrai, seulement deux annonces mentionnent des filles en bas de 25 ans, les autres c'est 29 ou 30 et plus! Plus ça change, plus c'est pareil.

Back in the old country when I was about 7-8 years old, they used to advertise agencies in the nationally-distributed newspapers after the Iron Curtain fell. Like imagine ads in The Globe and Mail or National Post. They'd use topless pics of models from foreign porno mags. That's how I saw my first nekkid lady.
Funny but that's exactly what happened to me at a bar near Pearson airport in Toronto several years ago. I was having a beer and minding my own business and this attractive girl starts making small talk with me. It took all of 5 minutes for the conversation to switch gears and for her to offer to come back to my hotel room, for one all inclusive price of course. Not my idea of an ideal date so I politely declined.
I've heard of escorts doing this at airport bars! It makes sense. I would just never have the nerve to do this in a place where it's not expected. Agreed! Not sure how common this would be now. Probably rare since most interactions begin online or by text.
I know some colleagues still do it, but it's usually during specific moments, or at very specific places. Not my thing...
C’est peut-être juste une impression mais il y avait moins de scam dans ces années-là. Elles se donnaient la peine de payer pour mettre une annonce dans le journal (je pense qu’elles devaient envoyer un cheque ou même se déplacer direct au Journal de Montreal pour payer). J’ai parfois été déçu mais généralement, le service était bon.
Maintenant avec la diversité des media disponibles il y beaucoup plus de sources pour cold-call et fisher et je suppose que c'est devenu moins cher et plus pratique de le faire aussi.
En passant on paye nos annonces nous aussi..
Juste pour te donner un exemple, je paye parfois jusqu'à 400$ par mois pour annoncer. Juste annoncer sur Merb, ça coûte 130$ par mois.
Annoncer et faire de la pub c'est extrêmement énergivore. Publier sur les réseaux, sur ce forum, etc. Dans le passé, selon des collègues, tu pouvais publier une seule annonce sur Backpage et avoir des clients toute la semaine.
Et selon moi les scams c'est pas des escortes qui les font en général..
