Are TERBites a unique sub-species?

I was browsing TERB yesterday and was struck by the number of posters who have accumulated literally thousands of posts. My guestimate:

- At least three dozen posters over the 1,000 mark
- A dozen over the 5,000 mark
- A half-dozen with over 10,000 posts. That's right: 10 000 posts, that makes over 7 posts every single day over the last 4 years

Don't even ask what proportion of these post are reviews: there aren't enough places after the decimal point on your calculator to display the figure!

So how do these guys earn their living to be able to spend so much time in front of a computer???

SPs are a lot more active on TERB than here on MERB; I'll chalk that up to the language barrier: SPs in Qc are generally francophone and are not comfortable enough in written English.

There's also a peculiar type of humour on TERB that I haven't seen neither here nor or TBD: usually glib and airy but also hilarious at times--a real treat. Over here, EGB would be the prime representative of this TERB-species.

So my question for debate is: are these differences between MERB and TERB representative of the distinct YUL and YYC cultures, or are TERBites a unique sub-species of the Internet inhabitants?

lol..I think that's because some of them type a lot faster than you do while
others have money saved away so they can afford to spend more time playing on the computer than the average Joe who has a 9 -5 routine.

TERBites more tolerant.

I find that Terbites are much more tolerant than Merbites. At TERB members can ask mundane questions such as what to do in a repair job on their homes, where to buy a new car, where to get the best deal on winter auto rims, and the best placesto get auto/home insurance.
I have found that if a Merbite were to ask that type of question on MERB, he would get blasted by others and told that MERB is a web site for hobbyist to get info on MPs and SPs.
I have also found that TERBites are much more tolerant of humor, where ase humor is not appreciated by MERBites.

I browsed TERB today. There is some info on Montreal agencies that tour in Toronto, like I-N and the companions. There are also a lot of very strange threads. There is a 2 page thread entitled, ``Anyone Own an English Bulldog?`` I don`t remember anyone ever discussing dogs, or chiens as they are called in French, on MERB. I guess the TERBites are more into pets than MERBites.

Every Board has its own character. I find MERB less aggressive in general than TERB and although maybe less SPs post here, those that do are a damn sight more intelligent than the TERBettes.

Id always do a search for guys asking for info......id search for 'review' under that users handle to see how many actual reviews this poster put on the board. (On the assumtion that most posters start off a review by putting 'review' in the post). Either that or id search for the last 20 posts the guy put up.....

Id judge giving them info based on what info they gave back to the board.

So next time your on terb pick out a random poster and see just what they've contributied in their last 20 posts.
