I'm a gentleman so I'll even throw in a poutine, a giant warm and gooey chocolate chip cookie, and enough toilet paper to last you till you 'till the next US election.

After a cart full of groceries and the regular hourly rate I'd say it's pretty generous.
My first birthday gift of the month was in fact 150$ for groceries on my throne wishlist and it's such a sweet gesture! Necessities like food etc are a nice, thoughtful gift.
(Edit : not gonna lie I love the Costco fries, I wouldn't even be mad if someone took me there and bought me fries lmaooooo)

Honestly I haven't had a cancellation in a while and I'm so grateful, but usually it's the same excuses.. ''my work schedule changed'' or someone saying they're sick

That's happened to me once... But in that case I dodged a bullet, and the person cancelled too.
I kinda expect to dine out when on a dinner date, because being in the same space for many hours can get overwhelming for both me and the client in my opinion. I've offered the option to dine in before, and I've done it with a client I'm comfortable with.. it was a good experience! But for a new client, I would really prefer to dine out.. It's part of the etiquette to go to a restaurant on a dinner date.
