Hobby

an activity that someone does for pleasure when they are not working:
Angela's hobby is restoring vintage motorcycles.

a pursuit outside one's regular occupation engaged in especially for relaxation
Writing is just a hobby of his.
Her hobbies include gardening and bird-watching

His hobbies include f***king women and reviewing them online??

Anyways…

Okay here are a few questions for clients.

1- What made you decide to take the plunge and see a SP for the first time? Some friends of mine think all men have seen a SP once in their lives at least, but I'm not sure how true that is.
2- Why do you consider seeing escorts a hobby? What makes it comparable to other hobbies of yours? It's something I've always wondered since I joined the industry
3- What makes you enjoy participating in this forum aside from reading reviews?

1 - Depression mostly. I was working night-shift in my 20s. I'd go to parties with university friends on the week-end, but my social anxiety was too over-powering and I'd drink too much booze. You'd think the booze would ease the social anxiety but no, it just made me sloppy drunk and socially awkward.

Regarding the "all men have seen an SP at least once...". Obviously not ALL MEN, but I'd say many if not most have. I've had two friends that had no problems getting GFs or hook-ups yet they still saw an SP at some point. Not sure what their reasoning was. I'm guessing it was just part of the sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll lifestyle we were living at the time. Seeing an SP was just one of the things you needed to do if you wanted to truly "get" Bukowski or whatever.

2 - Definitely not a hobby for me. Calling it a hobby feels like I'm reading a bad JRPG translation.

3 - I don't read the reviews. I stick to the lounge mostly. Small forums feel more "natural". Places like twitter or reddit have so many users that you never know who you're talking to. Good chance they're a bot or a troll. I may not like or agree with some people here, but at least I know it's not some 12 year old kid just saying shit to get a reaction (even if some people occasionally come across that way)

To SPs:
Do you like the variety of men you see?
Is there a certain type you tend to like more than others?
There are certain types of clients I like better than others. I prefer clients who I have good conversations with instead of those who only focus on trying to get as much sexual satisfaction as possible. I like clients I have things in common with and people who can talk to me about things I don't know anything about. It doesn't really have anything to do with what they look like.

My questions for SPs are ->

1. Did you know how big this industry was before getting into it?
2. Did you ever think you would get into this business before you got into it?
3. Was there someone who introduced you to it, or did you find it on your own?

_________

I just remembered how I got into this, actually, by total accident.

I was addicted to porn (still am, damn it, lol) and was starting to get turned on by the concept of "reality" in my sexual fantasies, and I remembered that a certain porn actress from Poland did meet ups there in Warsaw to film videos. Anyway, this got me thinking that I should look into porn actresses in Montreal and contact them so that I could have like a more desired / selected experience rather than take my chances at a bar or party.

At any rate, I somehow found Craigslist Massage Therapy (or whatever it was called) and the rest is history. Was using quarters and calling apps and all that.

I was completely clueless to how much escorting content and how many ad sites there were online. I've seen so many of them come and go since then. Same with service providers. Some of their ads and faces are embedded into my consciousness.
1- I had friends and acquaintances who were in the business. I knew how big the industry was but I had a lot of misconceptions.

2- Honestly, a lot of people told me I wasn't cut out for it and I had considered online work but I was told it wasn't lucrative anymore. I joined the industry on impulse.

3- I had help from a few people but it took me a while to find my own way of doing this and staying safe

Don't know if it was asked.

What do you think of clients following you on social media and do you expect them to send gifts and tips to interact with or just having the privilege to follow you?
I like when people follow me because it gives me visibility. I do like gifts and tips... expecting them may be a strong word but sometimes I feel like clients expect me to interact with them for free and they constantly comment things on my posts that feel kinda invasive.. in that case yeah it's appreciated when I receive gifts

I’m happy they follow me on my professional social media because they’ll fall in love with me. Just kidding! I mean good for them they get to see my selfies almost everyday. When I’m home and watching tv, I reply to every single tweets under my photos. I don’t expect gifts for that.

I do share my wishlist from time to time but rarely directly ask for anything.

Ah. Thanks. Kind of thought of that. Like follow, have some interaction, buy some gifts here and there without necessarily meeting.

I had the weirdest interaction on blue the other day. Ending up following someone and they demand a gift for the privilege of following and a bunch of weird follow up questions and saying how disrespectful I was bla bla bla... She gave me my 1st block on blue lol *cries*

That’s odd indeed. I don’t ask for anything on Twitter but I still receive gift cards. I no longer have a public wishlist but when I had one I would receive some gifts off of it.

If I ask for something it’s because I’m planning on sending photos in return

I only follow one person on social media ( On X) and it isn’t that I hang on her every word but look in on her from time to time, I find her funny and interesting and someone who appreciates her clients and is not into client bashing although she does sometimes call out some lunatics.

No I would not give her gifts for simply reading her comments or even interacting with her on social media she is doing that for advertising so I don’t see a need to reward her for that. It serves it’s purpose.
That however becomes different when I see her as a client then I think I am pretty generous and show her that I appreciate her kindness and friendship.

She gave me her wishlist but were just items, no tips. I was like wait a minute, I just follow you because you were on someone's feed and your posts were interesting *cries*

Anyway, feels like I got singled out or maybe not. She also made a couple of posts about it without naming names but seriously *cries*

I guess it’s “ok” if the person has been following you for a while but if they just followed you it’s weird

I don't really understand what you mean by client bashing.... It's okay to say when someone is acting in a way that's not respectful. Also, I didn''t say people HAVE to give me "rewards"... but I put so much effort into advertising that sometimes a gift is appreciated. That's all. And obviously if you are generous to her as a client this is much different than someone who's actually never booked you and never will.. I interpreted the initial question that way.

I think it's fine for people to ask for wishlists and tips. Sending a specific client who isn't bothering you a wishlist is strange however.. For sure.

is not into client bashing

It’s been normalized I believe. Sometimes I read tweets that make me raise my eyebrows.

There used to be a thing on Twitter called “circle” you could tweet to a group of people you had chosen. Call it a private circle if you will, I think some of those SPs forgot that it no longer exists because the way they tweet is not a good look marketing wise.

“Reply guys should get a life or pay me” is not exactly how you inspire people to spoil you but what do I know?

That's also kinda true, because reply guys do give visibility. My issue is when I feel like my boundaries are crossed.

There's findom but like it is such a niche kink that you have to say it somewhere on your profile or in a pinned post so people who are not into it don't follow you and then wonder what's going on when they get call out for not spoiling

I guess some people are expecting all their work to be paid which includes marketing and interaction on SM. Time is money is the mantra?

Yeah, I guess? But personally that's one of the reasons why I charge higher than agency rates. A portion of my fee I consider to be compensation for the admin work I did leading up to the booking (ads, emails, interactions etc) and it works for me.

We always have the option of ignoring messages than don't interest us, too.

I feel like most findom profiles would have “Goddess” “princess” “queen” or something along those lines as a display name. That’s how I know not to interact with those profiles.

I don’t want the algorithm to show me those profiles that have nothing to do with my job, it serves me no purpose
