Which bars/lounges/clubs are the best in Montreal to hook up with normal girls? I've been to Winnie's and Newtown. Are there other places close by that you guys have had success with? Thanks in advance...

I've passed by a couple of times, but never went in. Is this a French speaking crowd or both?
I go there once a while and I have been dissapointed a few times...depens on the time and day you get there. If you get there too early there isn't much happening. And some times it was much more of a sausagefest...not many girls. 
But when you get crowded nights it can be very fun...and there is more girls in the 30+ than 18-25.
I saw quite a few SP's hanging around the Thursday's but I am pretty sure they charge a LOT since it attracts a lot of tourists in the summer. And this place has a lot of suit and tie guy like oliver said.

Visited there on Thursday, Friday just before this past holiday.
I found the club quite sterile and devoid of any reasonable activity until after midnight.The problem with entering at a later hour is you run the risk of waiting on line. With that said and depending on your agenda,….. upon paying the cover, $10?, checking your coat and making your way to the main room, there exists bars on the left and the right. Bar right had the most stunning, petite brunettes I have ever seen. Probably all of 5-2, very friendly and worth the price of admission just to gaze. Suggested she had only been working a month or so,…….sorry, I do not remember her name.
Hung out till about 1:30am. If your looking for younger, the nights I frequented was certainly the case, but again, what’s the motivation?
If you’re just looking to be social, dance and comfortable standing all night this could work. Getting lucky,……what’s your preference as most of the ladies, at least for my taste, would not have cut it…
Hey, give it a shot. If nothing else, the visuals associated with the gorgeous brunette bartender will supply ample motivation to soil your favorite fur-lined glove, argyle sock and then some.
I do not no anything about the other clubs you mentioned but on that note, was wondering about an after hours place called, I believe, Circus-Circus, supposed to be near Cleopatra’s and heard good things about the ladies with the possibility of frequenting SP’s. Never made the attempt but would be curious to hear some news.

Funny, but this thread was named Best Downtown places to pick up regular girls. I am assuming that regular girls means not sp's. but girls who look for guys for fun?
Are we so intuned to the sp scene that we just drift that way by nature? I have to admit that I am not particularly skilled in the pickup game. I wish I was because I think I would have a lots of fun, unless women usually only go for the stereotypical pick up artist (e.g. young hunks). But is this drifting to the topic of sp's second nature to all of us without thinking?

The club you're talking about is called Circus (on St-Timothe - probably spelled wrong - a little north of Ste.Catherine) It is an afterhours club, opens at 2AM, BUT Circus is NOT like Thursdays. The women at Circus are hot and yes there are some SP's and a lot of dancers that go but they are not working when they are there - I wouldn't suggest going to Circus to pick up SP's. Circus is an awesome club (but I am slightly biased
) but remeber these few things before going: 1) If you are a single guy or group of single guys (even worse) you WILL wait in line. 2) Depending on your age and what you look like you may NEVER get in. 3) There are tons of hot girls at Circus - There are also tons of hot guys at Circus. 4) It is going to cost you anywhere from $25-$50 to get in and that is just the cover charge (doesn't include tipping the doorman or coat check. 5) There is no booze being served only water, gatorade, RedBull, etc... and it is fairly loud and pretty dark.
All that being said have fun if you go, stay cool if its your first time in a place like that and just enjoy the scenery.

Motivation...quite simple... to meet a nice looking girl 30 - 40 y old and try to f*ck her before 1AM.... Cuz I have to wake at 6 AM on the morning...
I'll pay a visit a give you my opinion...
Most of the times I pay 500$ for a SP , event if I spend 200$ on a bar bill or resto it may still be a good value for my bucks.... It will wake the sleeping

But really, I have never seen a place where sexy good-looking women (non-sp and desiring casual sex) dont have to be picked up. If you dont want to pay by the hour you have to pick up. If theres a planet where gorgeous women do the pick-up instead ... please tell me I'll begin applying to Nasa
(or any other space agency that can get me to that planet alive for that matter). Aside from that if you are into the pick-up game then you can pick up pretty much anywhere provided 1) you fall into the age group 2) you look good and dressed appropriately according to the target age group 3) you can talk easily and project a positive image without being overly serious (lots like sales actually lol)
Now 1) if you dont qualify for the above requirements or 2) Just dont want to deal/bother with the hassles, lets drift to talking about SP that gives you the illusion of picking up a hot young girl
