Where can I find the best poutine in Montreal?

Like...the type of poutine where the cheese curds are soft & chewy, gravy is great and fries also.

I need recommendations!

The best poutine is the one that sits right where it belongs at the bottom of a trash can if you ask me.

Lets say you're stuck on tour guide duty showing clients around town or something and they absolutely want to try poutine. I'd first suggest you try and fake an urgent medical appointment. If that doesn't work, bring them to Taverne Gaspard on McGill so that you can at least get a decent meal while watching them animals chow on that nasty heart-attack-on-a-plate of a dish.

La Banquise is my spot, but poutine is too filling for me. I can't eat the poutine in large quantities, it'll put me in a food coma, lol. I know before the pandemic it was open 24/7, it must do great business. It's been featured on the food network and the travel channel. Anthony Bourdain made a visit there

It's not in Montréal but you have Le Poutine Bar in Laval-Ouest. Their "La Terroir" is absolutely delicious!

You guys have no idea what a REAL poutine is! Benny on St-Foy at Longueuil is the reference ! Alfa on chemin Chambly at Longueuil too is on top of my list with the ton of cheeze they put in, you know when you keep eating and reach the bottom and there is still ton of cheeze!

I'm definitely not a fan of Banquise. If you want to be in my top list, you need to do a great traditional poutine before offering any kind of mix and this is not their case!

Not just the bottom, all the way down! Lol!
Quantity and quality of cheeze define a REAL poutine! You need to go on south Shore to know what's a real poutine. Forget about Montréal island!!
