I got a better idea how about privatizing healthcare and everyone pays for what they use and instead of stealing peoples money in taxes. The private sector can far better manage this then the government. So those that choose to not get vaccinated well if they get sick they will be on the hook for it. Well see that is why government should not manage these types of things they ruin it. Quebec has the highest corruption of any province, lots of bureaucrats are eating money and mismanaging big time. Look at the roads, if you drive on highway 20 towards Ontario as soon as it becomes the 401 you see a big change in the roads. Ontario roads are so smooth compared to Quebec roads. Half these construction contracts in Quebec are corrupt people eating money. Then you got the government spending millions of dollars policing French. The OQLF alone in 2021 had a budget of $42 million.

A "ton" may not be accurate. Some sure. But it comes at a price. The price of complying to totalitarian governing. Showing an ID to a doorman that couldn't care less who you are and just check the birth date is not the same as scanning a barcode and keeping a track of where you been and showing medical status.
And i want it to remain (or should i say go back) to the same it was and i don't want it to become like those countries you just mentioned. Im gonna repeat myself but a permanent product in your body is a personal choice. Wearing a mask 10-20 mins if you need to take the metro or buy a pack of beer in a store is one thing, keeping this on for a whole day, 5 days a week is another and something i couldn't be doing. I want more aknowledging of the different situations and localisation etc when it comes to masking.
There is different ways to learn. Online videos, books, private lessons with somebody you know in your private house, stuff like that.

Having met HM in person, I don't see him as either "woke" or a "troll". He has the appearance of a guy who looks like he belongs at a Metallica concert or a video game convention. Not yet. Our Covid hospitalizations have quadrupled in the last month but our Governor (Lamont) has issued statements indicating he will be resistant to lockdowns. We will need to see what happens. The restaurant industry in CT was hammered by Covid but from what I observed many restaurants, especially the ones that survived, adapted. I think things would need to get a lot worse for there to be a lockdown here, but that could happen.
I think the American mentality is much more resistant to lockdowns, however, in the past 2 years businesses including my own have greatly adapted to doing business remotely and virtually. Apart from that many citizens seem to tie lockdowns to unlawful or improper restraints on personal liberty. American history teaches that we are very, very resistant to that going back to the Revolutionary War. The State Motto of New Hampshire is "live free or die" and somehow Covid and lockdowns and masks have stirred these emotions in many Americans, although it's a health epidemic, and not political reasons or a political enemy, that are threatening these liberties.
