Most likely, he's saving that for after Xmas so as not to ruin it for them with the news.

I honestly hope we don't have another curfew. That was pure ass last time...and all because of ppl that don't do what they're supposed to and end up going out, partying, spreading the virus, etc.

But it could happen just to keep people in check for New Years. That's usually when ppl go crazy partying, so would make sense if it happens.
Even with the curfew young people were still out partying. I know because all those strippers I have on my social media were posting videos, some even told me themselves and many were still going out at night time. Prohibition never works. Look at Prohibition Era for all the good it did, it caused a surge of crime and there were many gangsters. I do not believe in curfews it does not provide its intended results. Nowhere else in North America was there a curfew and it is not like case wise Quebec was doing much better then the other provinces in reality we still lead the country with the most cases. Lego just wanted to be like France and I suspect Lego realized the curfew was not very well received at all, 2022 is elections time.

Curfew is likely coming after Christmas/New Years. Its inevitable. Legault's answer to a problem is always doing the same patch work until said patch fall off and then he put another. He is not looking to fix it permanently.

Now i am reading this

Vaccination obligatoire : « s’il faut aller là, on ira là », dit le ministre Dubé (msn.com)

And this is pretty scary. Ill fight as much as i can, as long as i can, and i will be defiant you can be sure. Even if it mean not being able to go anywhere including grocery store or whatever. The simple fact its considered is very scary and when they start talking of something, often it come to fruition. So we have to prepare to go to war...

You’ll fight with what?
Those little demonstrations you guys do? Please go. Don’t wear a mask. Catch covid. Natural selection will do the rest.
like Thanos’s snap. It’s inevitable. You’re no avenger. Just get it done. Move on. Stop being a burden to society.

you’ll go to war with what ressources. That keyboard you hide behind?
50% of hospital cases come from the non vaccinated 10%. Think about that

They will never "force" you to take a vaccine. They can make a person's life pretty miserable and eventually the courts will decide if they go too far.

If and when it goes to court a judge will look at the burden the unvaccinated put on society and balance this with their basic rights. You do have basic rights not to be vaccinated.

Oh and then Lego will pull the non-withstanding clause. Forgot about that one.

Yep indeed good news... But that can change especially if cases keep on going up. Looks like Lego is playing Santa Clause for Xmas but I can guarantee he will impose a lockdown after New Years.
Maybe even earlier! I wouldn't surprise if a curfew is call for the 27th.

This is the info I got from my sources. They will wait until after this weekend rather than make a statement that will spoil the holidays. That was the decision that was made. Let everyone open their gifts and tell them the bad news next week.

Yup, thats what I think, and just to clear things out: I dont agree with it! And even though I got willfully vaxxed, as a normal responsible citizen, I totally disagree with vaccine passport of any kind, never got it. Thats way too many controls, no way I'm going to show my I.D.s to enter a restaurant, bars or whatever else. I dont even show the cops my I.D.s if they cant provide me with a valid reason to ask for it. I was stunned at the population's reaction to the passport measure, like wtf!!! If the passport had been boycott from the very start we wouldnt have to live with it.

2022 is an election year for Legault, right?
I think his priority now is not to anger the population.

Out of curiosity, do you stop at a red light or stop sign?
Isn't this also imposed and against your basic rights ?

most pedestrians in Montreal don’t stop or take any notice of red lights so this wouldn’t affect him lol.
Well, thats our french heritage! You cannot expect well behaved and disciplined actions from the people who turned this city into a "partying, sex playground" with their unique, shameless sense of "joie de vivre"! Everything comes with a price! Lol

He doesn't have a car. I think HM's chief mode of transportation is bus. Someone else is doing the driving and dealing with those impositions.
Ouf, thank god ;)
But as you previously stated, besides this hiccup, yes HM's posts usually portray him as a fairly decent and ok guy.

Sure but by then things will have evolve for the worst, look what is going on in Europe, the virus is 10 days ahead overthere compare to here. It's coming, and knowing Québec is always hit stronger than the ROC, it doesnt look good.

Couple points, questions:
1) Did I read correctly 9000 cases last 24h? Curfew is coming. Ive done decent research on covid for a study, one of the dominant factors that flattens the curve is something referred to as a stringency index (every regulation of activities related to transmission is given a number (for adherence), transport (international, local), recreation (gyms, restos), etc.... The higher the stringency index per country the more flat the curve gets, no choice it just works. What are the alternatives?
2) I got the jabs, but I wasnt all for it, not because I dont beleive in vaccines but because I think covid is unnatural. That being said...
Alot of people I know are unvaccinated and are against it. Ive asked them two questions: A) Aside from all the conspiricy research you seem capable of doing, have you researched what was the life expenctancy of a human being pre any vaccines? B) If you are so against everything thats happening, how come you ain't outside protesting or pushing for a call to arms militia style to stand up for your rights, instead fwding me a billion conspiricy theories by whatapp a day (insta-muted)
Never received answers for one person, whats that say?
3) Never seen such a great divide in history of such extremes, I see people running for the next dose and people running away from their first dose, Im scratching my head.
4) One doctor put it pretty well, actually a few of them have, if 0.5% of the infected end up with serious hospitalizations, multiply that by a million infected and divide that by your ICU hospital beds and by staff available. This is pretty much the summary of what anyone in their right mind is trying to avoid, thats it, thats all. Nobody trying to send you to your bedroom.
5) Even though no one admits it, liability insurance has alot to do with vax passports. Whos liable when there is money or a lives lost.
6) I have alot of family/friends who work in hospitals, pre omicron (with constant grilling from me) what has always been told to me was "hey we dont know if this is a conspiricy or not, all we know is the one simple thing: there is a an abnormal influx of people with respirtory distress, take it for what you want, we never seen these numbers".
7) For all the conspiricy theorists (not saying I don't question too but): Try keeping a secret from 5 friends...let alone millions of doctors.
8) When contemplating two (or more) sided situations. I always try to put myself in the opposing position to avoid a selfish perception whether it affects me or not, two of these positions are that of a health care worker in the belly of the beast, fight of their lives trying to save someones life at the same time not trying to bring that virus home 24/7 living on edge, it so happens that kid I tried to save, well he was unvacinated and my whole family caught it, now I'm trying to save my grandfather life. The other of someone who has a limited time to live (true story), with a possible life saving surgery that maybe be put on hold, because priority is to people who have a fighting chance. This someone cant travel or see his loved ones, with the few months he has left.

Bottom line we can only say so much "it aint our problem", till it is.
