Over the past couple of months we have been brainstorming and kicking around new ideas to improve the user experience of the forums. Not to give much away right now, but there are some major changes coming soon. I would like to get the members opinion on a way to improving the " posting a review" experience. One suggestion a while back was to have a sort of TEMPLATE with the important info that members seek in a review, and at the bottom of the template have a brief comments section. Many feel that this would give the forum a more classy, informative and consistent feel, yet still provide the important info which hobbyists look for in determining where to spend their hard earned money. This would replace the free hand novel type reviews, or the reviews that lack substance and info, or quick comment reviews. Others suggest we should offer both, your choice of a template or freehand. I will be adding a poll in this thread to seek opinions and suggestions. Thanks

I personally would prefer the option of both. I also think providers should be consulted on this. We have often voiced our concern over ''explicit, menu-type'' reviews and I would hate for my intimate time with my clients to be reduced to a check list in determining whether or not I'm a good provider. As mentioned before, not every client on here looks for strictly services, a lot look for a natural feel, a connection, something that isn't quantifiable. I don't think a template would convey these bookings properly. I think also that some providers don't mind the checklist and advertise towards that kind of reviews. So the option of both would benefit all types of providers. I know for myself that my branding, which I have spent a lot of time and money building, is based on intimacy rather than strict sexual services and that I am not alone in this. I wouldn't want that to be taken away from me.

The early poll results are overwhelming in favor of use of the template or combo template and comments. Clearly this is a message to the wannabe free hand novelist reviewers that they have been crushed and destroyed and are about to be legislated out of existence. Maybe it is for the best. MERB is not Reader's Digest or a tryout for Penthouse Forum.

I do like the idea of a template because it would make reviewers write more then just one liner to say the girl was jawdropping, a good fuck and a sure repeat ;)

It's just that myself I would probably the worst guy to use it. That leads me to an important point which would be to know a bit more about the reviewer.

For me it would be important to know the age range of a reviewer, how long he's been hobbying, if he is local or outsider and what does he seeks... pure gfe or basically to use the girl as a toy like me (don't be offended I am nice).

It's obvious we would not read reviews the same knowing these details about the reviewer. The number rating one gives would be seen differently if we know the guy is just starting the hobby or has 10 years experience.

Cheers,

You say that with a template, it would have a more informative and classy feel. So if it’s a template, like a form you have to fill out, then what do you mean by it would look more classy?
Can you give us any examples of the types of questions that would be answered?

Merci.

Option 1: template, donc un guide
Option 2: section libre uniquement
Option 3: choix du reviewer
Option 4: template et section libre

I had exactly the same question as Vicky- sounds like a good idea but what questions are asked?

the templates would be designed and constructed with information that all members can suggest. we take all the best ideas and combine them. It would be a group effort with input from hobbyists and SP's

Much value in this reply and agree with a portion, however, having a standard 'template' offers consistency when making comparisons for sake of deciding where and with who to spend one's hard earned money. That template, along with a "Personal Comment" section is where then the client can expound on those attributes above and beyond, or below and the ugly of why they would or would not repeat ....

To use Tire Rack as an example (cuz it has the word rack in it and we are talking about chicks with racks) ... all the data is the same for each brand and you do have the ability to scan that or drill down and read a buyer's written review to get to the, um core of the matter.

Too bland and there will be many unhappy customers ... I prefer details to know who to avoid and who might justify their rate that may be higher (or same) as someone else ...

Hope that all makes sense.

You could set it up similar to TER review format, a bunch of yes or no questions on hair color, height range, body type, ethnicity, fake boobs, tats, piercings, english proficiency, each of the GFE services, and then a comments section maybe 500 words limit or some word limit. I would synthesize TER and Seeking Arrangement template formats on description of lady. SA forces you to specify an ethnic grouping whether you are SB or SD.

This is an example of the Barcelona template which is absolutely a pain in the asshole to fill out. I truly, truly feel Fred that it’s not the format of the reviews, but more so the reviewers on this website that needs improvement. I would say it may be a better idea to add a blog like section on merb like they have in the Barcelona board where SP’s can interact with fans, kinda like a twitter within merb. Anywhoo that what I think, here’s the template for the Barcelona forum. I found it to be a pain

This is a great initiative. I want to thank the MERB group on giving us a chance to voice our comments.

Personally, I would opt for the <<the combo>>.

Building on Rose comments the template does help in reducing the biased opinions. But the challenge is really on the type of template. Drag, point and click template can be boring and cumbersome.I’m pretty sure that MERB, the reviewers and reviewers don’t want someone to add ‘’0’’ everywhere. The same could be said for scroll down options. Because in the end..someone 6 is someone else 10 and someone ‘’average’’ is someone else ‘’perfect’’.

The template should be limited to 5 topics..and have a short box to add some comments but not a penthouse forum like wet dream.
Example:
Face:
1-10
Comment:
Attitude:
1-10
Comment:

I agree that a reboot is necessary as I grow weary of reading MERB reviews. In this time age and openness, it is disappointing to see a demeaning review be allowed to stay. I know I have been flagged for this- But I truly believe that negative, ugly comments are not necessary and usually just encourage more.

Remember, everything can be said in life but there is a right way and a wrong way in saying it.

hope this helps

I'd say create an "interactive" template (something like if A and B but not C then jump to G or H) with input from SP's and agencies and a dozen or so "reliable" hobbyists. (Continue to refine the template or have multiple templates.) And provide room for individual comments, put to 200 words. The goal is to foster more useful reviews on Merb.

Clearly, we all want everyone to be safe and remain healthy, especially when Hobbyland reopens again when it's "safe" to do so from a public health perspective. We will all need to follow the health advisories and do even more so that we don't alarm the health authorities (and LE). Merb may need to confer with its sponsors (advertisers) so that they all follow uniform health guidance in their operations and advertising on Merb. (This will be a new reality for everyone until we can all receive the vaccine against Covid-19.)

Manunited, why the option to rate a face on a scale? or even a body for that matter? The service, maybe. But rating someone on a scale is impossible. As you mentioned ''someone 6 is someone else 10 and someone ‘’average’’ is someone else ‘’perfect’’. '' As for the TER-like review system, as EagerBeaver mentioned, why the need to enter info such as hair colour and everything? Most girls maintain an online presence, with pictures that are rarely more than a month old. As for services, we know for a fact that the client will impact what he is getting, so can we really do a checklist?
