The biggest crooks are the government because they are also hypocrites. They pretend to help and use a false narrative to gouge ppl. Does it not bother you at all that while we will all pay more for everything the MPs gave themselves a big raise? Trudeau needs the revenue to buy more votes and send taxpayers money to foreign countries and to jet around in his private jet. Worst part is they keep sending money to foreign countries. None of that extra money will be used to fund green energy initiatives or to help the ppl of this country or to fund infrastructure. At least corporations are not being hypocrites, they are there to make profits. The government on the other hand claims to protect and help yet is robbing people. You can decide to not buy a product or service but the government threatens jail time if you do not pay your taxes (that is how robbers operate, they make threats to steal your money). So yes it is not just 5 cents as you claim. The carbon tax will make everything cost more not just gas just about every good will cost more. So tell me how does a carbon tax do anything for climate change?
Here is one for you. Trudeau promised to plant 2 billion trees part of his 2019 election promise but so far has planted less then half he promised. Trudeau is using the money to buy votes and sending to foreign countries. How much more do you need to be convinced that the carbon tax is a hoax.
Canada has planted only 8.5M of 2B trees promised by Trudeau so far - National | Globalnews.ca
According to government data, 7.6 million of the 8.5 million trees planted since Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made his pledge were in British Columbia.
