Drought is one example. Canada's a big place and it's always dry somewhere, but not like this.
Agriculture Canada's June 30 drought map shows most of the country was abnormally dry. Large stretches of the Prairies were under at least a moderate drought, pushing to extreme in southern Alberta.
In British Columbia, once the "wet coast," 28 out of 34 river basins were at the province's top two drought levels. Ranchers were selling cattle that they couldn't grow enough hay to feed, and low streamflows were threatening salmon runs.
And it's been hot. Although the east was generally normal, the west wasn't.
From May through July, Kelowna, B.C., experienced 36 days of weather more than 30 C. The normal count is 16 C. Norman Wells, not far from the Arctic Circle in the Northwest Territories, set a new record of 38 C on July 8.
Environment Canada senior climatologist Dave Phillips toted up the number of warm temperature records set this summer versus the number of cold records.
"If the climate was balanced, you'd have as many cold records as warm records," he said.
Nope. There were 372 new hot-temperature marks and 55 cold ones.

And yes, the climate is changing not denying it at all but going EV or trying a tax to stop it is ridiculous.

I couldn't disagree more. Climate change advocates are much more educated on the reality of planet warming and potential solutions than are deniers. It's going to take a worldwide, multipronged effort to address this crisis. A carbon tax and sustainable transportation are only part of the solution. For example, the world also needs to reduce fossil fuel use, invest in renewable energy, improve farming practices and produce more plant based foods, reclaim carbon from the atmosphere, protect our forests and oceans, reduce plastics, etc. If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem. Be part of the solution.

You do have a point but why should a country like Canada spend a trillion ( over the years ) to do something that will have zero impact on climate change. The US has reduced there GHG's 5% from 2015 to 2020 ( the dates are approx ) while Canada is 3%, when the Canada global footprint is 1.6% and to spend the huge amount of money to bring it down to 2000 levels which in turn will do nothing to alter climate change.
For your plastic comment, notice all the paper products being used all the sudden, remember save the trees, ban plastic bags.
Again, do agree with the climate is changing but I have more of a concern for future generations economic well being and that is going down rapidly. The carbon tax does absolutely nothing to alter climate change, but it will assist in bankrupting people and some will even lose their house over it.
It is stated that oil use will continue to increase for a long time and it will. With the cost of electricity going up in some cases EV vehicles cost more per mile to fill than ICE vehicles, this will effect their sales as people will think affordability over the climate.
Now this is just speculation but in 10 - 20 years when we are still OK with the climate the alarmists will say " We did it, we saved the plant " meanwhile if nothing was done the outcome would be the same except our economy would be in far better shape.
Canada had a PM with an agenda to promote every fear group and special interest group, climate change is on top of his list while he flies around the world in one or two private jets. Never trust someone who promotes climate change while flying averywhere. Do a search on the amount of private jets at the summits, one would think with all their thoughtfulness about climate they would consider an alternative way to hold meetings.
Mentioned this before but take a visit to the Texas oilfields and then tell me how bad you have it in Canada.

This is an oxymoron because governments are doing their max to increase the population because they just care for money. The rest is just a smoke and mirrors. Increasing the population means more natural habitat is being destroyed to build more condos for more people. More razing of forests. China and India are the biggest polluters so I think they need to focus on them first. With 1.5 billion people in China and another 1.5 billion people in India they are causing a lot of pollution. And as for plastics, remember how many masks were being used and thrown away for the fake covid pandemic? And also plastic bottles selling water is still going on and neither will the government do anything to stop it.
