Obviously if it wasn’t for these two assholes we wouldn’t be facing a disaster of overcrowding emergency wards over 8.000 deaths.
But why blame our own politicians when we have our favourite Orange scapegoat with a giant shit show going on next door.
I guess the saying the grass is greener on the other side is true.

I definitely agree that government shares a portion of the blame, but not all. They say you can't fix stupid. The blame is shared across all levels regarding how we have handled the pandemic as a whole.

I totally agree with you, I was being a bit sarcastic, everybody has a mind of their own and if they haven’t figured out in over a year now of what is the right thing to do then no government leader‘s word is going to make a difference.

I have many, many relatives south of the border, actually more than here, who I love dearly, and despite her flaws, I love America.!!!
My cousin, who is a doctor in Fort Lauderdale, tested positive last month, her 4 kids as well, but they are fine now.
I was worried.
Half a million casualties in a span of a year is just a lot people man...lots of pain and hurting.

Walked into my local supermarket and there was a guy in his 40s or 50s walking around not wearing a mask. Manager offered him a mask to wear but he refused. Police were called and the guy was spoken to and released outside in the parking lot. You would think that after 10 months of this shit that people would get with the program. Regardless of what your "beliefs" are its incredibly disrespectful and your putting people in danger, especially the elderly.

Wow! Anyone want to hazard a guess whether the border opens in 2021 and we can cross into Canada without quarantining?

I’ll be honest....I am a bit shocked (maybe I shouldn’t be) there is really no light at end of tunnel this far into pandemic. Back in the fall, I sort of thought and said, perhaps rashly, that by mid-summer 2021we’d all be up there booking appointments through James and Sam again. This whole thing is getting old just chatting on Merb about activities we Americans likely won’t be partaking in for a long while.

Hope everyone up there stays safe! How I wouldn’t enjoy to be sitting at McLeans Pub right now.

Boy was I wrong! It's not looking good for the border being open for even this upcoming summer. This time last year I was watching the World Juniors at McCleans drinking a bloody Caesar without a care in the world. My how things have changed.

nothing beats the “Kenny Caesars” sitting at the bar in McLeans chatting with the locals over brunch. Add in music at Hurley’s over Guinness and it makes for a great weekend.

I’m not feeling optimistic about 2021. We would need a helluva turnaround to go from lockdowns and curfews to freely crossing the border to book appointments without quarantining in a hotel. And I just don’t know how Customs reviews vaccine verifications in an expedient manner.

I think I’m going to have to book hot North New Jersey talent two days in a row and drink some Moosehead and Caesars before those appointments. I miss the old country.

Bars, restaurants, gyms etc. have taken forever to open back up, even now at limited capacity and they are the first ones to get shut down again when the numbers tick up. It's easier to close a store, shut down a border, than it is to find a solution to the problem. Sure, I don't get to bang my favorite Montreal SP's, but there are people with real hardships because of all these lockdowns and border closings.

True dat. Yeah, not hobbying in Montreal is indeed a first World problem. That said, we are somewhat more fortunate in NJ. I can still walk into a Hoboken bar or visit a Hooters in central NJ. But still in all, both NY and NJ restaurants are under so much duress, as are most small businesses. You’re right. It’s hard to put the toothpaste back in tube.

Pharmacist who destroyed doses of vaccines (COVID) was a conspirator.

A US pharmacist who destroyed hundreds of doses of the coronavirus vaccine last month was “a conspirator” who believed the vaccines were dangerous, US officials said.

Steven Brandenburg, who worked nights at the Aurora Medical Center in Grafton, Wisconsin (North), had removed 57 vials of Moderna vaccine, each containing ten doses, from the refrigerators at this center, because he thought the vaccine could modify human DNA.
Some of these inert vaccines were then given to people who hadn’t suffered any harm, according to the hospital.

It's dramatic.
