I do not know how it works in the US, but I am guessing premiums will go up as a whole due to Covid ? And even more because of stupidity.
The "stupidity' narrative was something that CNN/MSNBC was spewing all week on the fake news channels so I'm not surprised it finally made it north. Regarding your question, insurance companies will use any and all means to increase premiums because they are all blood sucking profit making pieces of shit.

Sorry, I misunderstood your point. I was just saying that absent pre-existing conditions, health insurers can still charge different rates for two different individuals based on allowable factors..

I agree that there are few true individual policies issued, and that most employers have policies where large groups of similarly situated employees pay the same, regardless of weight. But companies like Delta are starting to toy with different employer health-insurance portions based on vaccination status.

Health insurance in the states can cost individuals different amounts when they purchase it on their own, but the states then balance it out by giving you a credit based on your income. So the cost per person is essentially the same price, but if I make more money than you the state will subsidies you with more money in the form of a tax credit so in the end you pay less but only because I can afford more.

As far as what Delta (quite the company name for this) is doing, that's very interesting and I find it hard to believe that they will be able to get away with it without a huge fight from the unions along with the individual state where they land their planes. But a very good point indeed.

There is little logic in what you write. Take auto insurance for example. They raise their rates if you have a history of dangerous driving, speeding tickets, DUI, accidents etc. Rates may vary based on age and gender. All legal .
Same for health insurance....costs vary based on gender, age and certain health conditions. All based on stats that don`t lie.
Covid kills more un-vaccinated individuals than those vaccinated by a factor of 11. Those are stats and they are science.
I was writing about the canadian single payer system where you walk into the hospital and out without to bills to pay. I personally don’t have additional health insurance either. In that context I believe there is good logic in my response

He wasn't talking about the health insurance market, he specifically was discussing and comparing auto insurance to health insurance and they are two totally different things. I included pre existing medical conditions to futher prove my point as to how everyone pays the same fee. Unlike auto insurance where you can have tickets and accidents that go towards a more costly policy. That doesn't happen in healthcare. So he was not correct.
Looo I know you claim to know things but how would you know what I was thinking.....pretty presumptuous of you. I wasn`t comparing anything to anything . I was thinking of Auto insurance and separately of private health insurance and travel insurance in Canada.

I never claimed to know what your thinking. Others defended you and even gave you the idea of saying it was Canadian insurance you were really talking about even though we both know that wasn't the case.

J'ai pris ce commentaire dans le thread sur le passeport vaccinal.

Pour dire des énormités de ce genre, il faut manquer d'information sur la science des vaccins.

Another girl said she felt her ovaries burning and was feverish for two days, she had to leave the club early that day and cancelled working the entire week. One other girl (a pharmacist) said same burning ovaries and felt her heart palpitating throughout the day and told me to stay with her with 911 standby on the phone just in case. I can't speak for myself yet. Long term effects 6+ months are unknown.

I have nieces and my daughters who are all in this age group and this is the first time I have heard of ovaries burning. Pain in the arm, and being tired, I heard that often.

Long term effects 6+ months are unknown. First, it's been + 9 months, and many effects are known, and they prevent hospitalizations and this is the only way to stop the pandemic.

Long term negative effects from ANY vaccine are very rare

====

Vaccines are eliminated quickly

Unlike many medications, which are taken daily, vaccines are generally one-and-done. Medicines you take every day can cause side effects that reveal themselves over time, including long-term problems as levels of the drug build up in the body over months and years.

“Vaccines are just designed to deliver a payload and then are quickly eliminated by the body,” Goepfert said. “This is particularly true of the mRNA vaccines. mRNA degrades incredibly rapidly. You wouldn’t expect any of these vaccines to have any long-term side effects. And in fact, this has never occurred with any vaccine.”

Vaccine side effects show up within weeks if at all

That is not to say that there have never been safety issues with vaccines. But in each instance, these have appeared soon after widespread use of the vaccine began. “The side effects that we see occur early on, and that’s it,” Goepfert said. “In virtually all cases, vaccine side effects are seen within the first two months after rollout.”

I just heard that at LCN, a man in his thirties dies of covid at the Cité de la santé, he was unvaccinated.
It was an anti-vaccine, his friends in their thirties too, didn't want to be vaccinated, but with the death of their friend, they all decided to be vaccinated.

The conclusion, don't wait, go get vaccinated.

Don't wait until you lose a child.

He died in the ER. At least he didn't an ICU bed in place of a patient who deserved one !
I don't have pity for any Antivax.
I wish they would respect their belief and no go to hospitals when they cath Covid.

The latest anti-vaxxer COVID prevention method is gargling with iodine.

After Clorox, now Iodine, and what's next? I suggest vinegar, or mustard, or relish, or mayo, but not as a gargle, in the nose :p
I would suggest them to stop breathing for at least 10 minutes.
That would keep them from catching Covid and all illnesses existing.
