What’s crazy about finally getting a vaccine is how much damage all the negative assholes did by saying they wouldn’t take it, don’t trust it, blah blah blah. These are the same assholes who are now trying to be the Covid heroes by risking their lives to convince the public how safe it‘s to take by publicly being the first in line for the vaccine. Just because it was Trump that motivated the pharmaceutical companies under Warp Speed to complete the vaccine in record time doesn’t mean dangerous shortcuts were taken. The media, politicians, etc. are all to blame for giving the public a bad image of these life saving vaccines. Such bullshit and hypocrisy.

Can't agree with you more. I remember the debates when Kamala Harris mentioned that she wouldn't take the vaccine if Trump asked her to take it. The media has done an excellent job steering people away from taking this vaccine. I trust the science and I'm happy enough with the data so far. I work on the front lines and I won't hesitate to take this vaccine as soon as it's offered. I have a lot of older relatives and its worth it to me since it puts my mind at ease knowing the chances that I'll infect them is much lower. I understand people are cautious of the vaccine but to me, not taking it is a bit selfish in a way towards your loved ones. The longer people wait to take these vaccines...the longer we wait towards a return to a more normal lifestyle

Yes, the adenovirus platform was already done (just one of the 3 vaccines based on this technology) but do you really think Pfizer, Moderna and AZ would’ve developed a vaccine this quickly without the guaranteed money from Operation Warp speed? They essentially had zero risk with their own money for R&D. Some will say “well Pfizer wasn’t exactly part of the program like the other companies.” Yes, they didn’t take money up front but they got it on the back end with guaranteed money if their vaccine was approved. Give credit where credit is due.
