USA Releases 1.5 Million Doses To Canada:
Really a generous gesture, the doses could have been given to Italy which needs them badly, but instead head up north to Canada. Hope we get something in return when the border reopens
Agree this is generous. Mexico and Canada need doses and this will help the borders reopen (well the Northern one at least, the Southern one still seems fluid).

The astra-zeneca vaccine is still not approved in the US and Americans are progressing great with their own vaccines. Sending doses to Italy would have been nice too but Italy is not using their Astra-Zeneca doses these days so did not seem a priority.

I went to get the vaccine at the Olympic Stadium, but I asked which vaccine they were giving and they said Covishield ( AstraZenica ) I turned around and went back home and made another appointment at the pharmacy which will be giving Moderna, tell Legault and Justin to give the AstraZenica to their mothers. I'll wait another 2 weeks!
Any way you could give us some insight as to why you walked away? Not criticizing, just curious

Around the corner
I didn’t walk away I got the Covishield and was happy to get it.
It works just as well apparently for not getting hospitalized or dying. Long wait for the second dose though only in July.
Seeing as It is over a year now and I am still around luck is on my side lol.

well at least 15 countries in Europe banned it, I read it was only 60% effective after 1st dose & 64% effective after 2nd dose I have heart & lung problems, while Pfizer is 95% effective and Moderna is 94% effective why would I choose AstraZenica?
apparently the new batch not made in India has better efficiency up to 84% after 2nd dose

^^^^^^ Because Trudeau says to take whatever is available at the time, that should be good enough ( sarcasm ).

I don’t really want the “vaccine”, but I get the sense it’s going to be mandatory soon. The gouverment won’t have to lift a finger in that regard because a lot of Companies will say you get it or get out.

From what I have been reading on a few articles it can not become law to force someone to take the vaccine. There will be lawsuits over this for sure.

I believe your correct. They won't require that you to be vaccinated but they'll make it tough to live a normal life without it. I'm basing that on the many "anti vaccers" parents here in the states that have to home school their kids because children have to be vaccinated to attend school.

Dreamer69,

That “ban” has been lifted I believe. It was never banned from what my understanding was, administration of it was suspended. But now it’s been recommended to resume use.

Surprised you didn’t mention it’s association with blood clots.

I think you woulda been fine with this vaccine mate even with your co-morbidities, but your choice of course, even to get the Jab or not.

I told TM Astra would be the last vaccine I would take, survived over a year with this uber deadly virus, will try for 2.

Hey guys I got part 1 of the Pfizer vaccine this morning at my local Walgreens. Got the shot 10 minutes after getting there, filled out a quick questionnaire and then took my jab. I am at home resting comfortably now. Walgreens seems to be running an efficient vaccination program.

It sounds like you are opening because you can. Less than 3 % positivity rate of new infections is spectacular. You guys are doin it totally the way it’s supposed to be done.

No I am resting comfortably now as in when I posted. I have had no side effects so far. FYI you do not get the vaccine if you are sick or feeling sick, as I said you have to complete a questionnaire on that.

So Legault praises AstraZenica saying it is safe for everyone to use yet he waited for the Pfizer vaccine 2 days ago, what a hypocrite !

Good news from that major study is that people vaccinated with Moderna and Pfizzer (i had pfizzer because of new job during the pandemic)) do not transmit covid if they get infected once vaccinated. They believe that if it happends, it will be rare. I do not believe the study was made with Astrazeneca.
