If you're running Vista or Win 7, all you have to do to zoom is hold the 'ctrl' key and use the scroll wheel on your mouse. This works in any folder, most applications and even on your desktop icons. If you're still on the outdated XP, it's normal if things don't zoom properly. XP was designed in the days when 1024X768 was considered high resolution and it really doesn't scale very well when you're running at very high res.

And the last post function, go to first unread post function, and the number of pages in a thread work find for me in both FF and IE 8. I haven't checked the board in a few days and had quite a few posts to catch up on and everything seems to work fine. One thing that still doesn't work, but then it never did on any previous version and I also have problems on other boards running vbulletin, is the e-mail notification for suscribed threads. It would really be nice if that worked.

Since the last upgrade last week which was only about a 20 minute downtime for Merb that front page last post function does not work. Click the "New Posts" button and it brings up the list of new threads and threads with new posts in them, now if you click that tiny button next to the first letter of every thread title it previously took you to the first unread post in that thread, it no longer does, it takes you to the top of page 1 of the thread, you then have to click on the "first unread thread" icon at the top of the first page of the thread to actually take you to your first unread post. Sounds confusing, I know.

So is this problem being worked on at all Mods?

Narrow format posts

Is it just me, or are the other members whose threads have all of a sudden started getting "narrower"? What I mean is that the width of the threads is about 2 inches wide - each line has between 4 and 6 words before going to the next line. Not all posts, but quite a few of them.

Did something happen to my settings? Is there a way to change them back? Like this:

I was up on Henri
Bourasa at the SSAQ
and had a couple of
hours to kill so looked
around and found
a seedy looking place
on Mullin. ...

instead of like this:

I was up on Henri Bourasa at the SSAQ and had a couple of hours to kill so looked around and found a seedy looking place on Mullin....

I still have a problem with narrow text similar to that described by aznguy, except that in my case my posts are 4 inches wide instead of the full 8 inches. When I preview my post it looks fine, but after I submit the post it displays only 4 inches wide. How do I fix this?

Anybody knows why I can't open up the forum from my blackberry ? Pressed on the "I agree" button, then nothing happens. Blank white page only ..... . Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks.

Anyone else viewing posts that are rendered in 2 inch columns or is it just how I am seeing them? Very annoying. I don't know if it's already been mentioned and admit that it is so annoying, I did not even want to look for it.

This is what
I see all the
time. It makes
reading a
lengthy post
take too long.
What should
only be a
couple of
paragraphs
can take up
half a page
in a thread.

Anyone else see these?

A few people are having this problem. I am also waiting for a solution to this problem.

When I log in I get this message: You have entered an invalid username or password. Please press the back button, enter the correct details and try again. Don't forget that the password is case sensitive. Forgotten your password? Click here!

You have used 2 out of 5 login attempts. After all 5 have been used, you will be unable to login for 15 minutes.

BUT, when I look top right it shows me as logged in. I see Jeff247 and no login box.

No big deal, it took me a couple times to realize what was going on. Thanks

I had that problem once and fixed it by deleting my browser's temp files and cookies. It hasn't come back since.

Can you tell me what browser you are using and version number? Also when you see the narrow display, is it just in the post part (the right column) or does the user info (the left column) look odd as well?

The narrow text display seems to have been fixed with the most recent update. When it was happening, it happened in any browser and operating system that I tried.

Email notifications for subscribed threads

I no longer received email notifications for subscribed threads. I checked that my email address was set properly, and I have tried both instant email notification and daily emails. Neither work. However, I DO receive email notifications for PMs received. Does anyone else have this problem, or is it more likely a problem with my profile configuration?

Thanks,

I'm having the same problem with PM notifications and the subscribed thread email notice has never worked since I first joined the board. It pisses me off a bit because I don't check the board much these days and I always have a few PMs when I do that I end up getting a month or so late because of that. Much better to just send me an email if it's important so if it seems like I'm ignoring anyone that sends me a message, I'm not. Just not around to check them more than once a month or so.

Used to receive an email telling me I have a pm, in addition sending me a copy of the pm in that same email. Those days are sadly gone unfortunately. I too don't log in frequently and guys seems to think I'm ignoring them. Back to the basics then.

I have a problem with certain threads ending. Sometimes, I`m unable to see the end ??? of thread. For example the thread of Cleopatra has 373 pages, but I see anteros post as the last post, but MERB is showing me 2 more pages of posting. When click page 374 or 375 I go back to 373. The problem also occurred on Bar le Gentlemen, it shows 30 pages, but the maximum is 27 pages.

It happened quite a few times, normally It`s only a difference of 1 page not 2...
