I think the best tip is a repeat business.
Although I usually tip 20% at restaurants, I never tip independent SP & MPs. Everything should be included in the quoted price. However, after the 3rd or 4th encounter, and always before Xmas, I usually bring a gift as a token of appreciation .
I think monetary tips will eventually lead to price increases.

Hello all,

I think the best tip is a repeat business.
Although I usually tip 20% at restaurants, I never tip independent SP & MPs.

I'm not saying there isn't a little something in that view, but it sure has a certain client's convenience about it. Just thinking about it based on consistency , if one is a steady tipper why is there a line drawn to differentiate restaurant service people from sex service people. You could say everything is included in the meal and justify not tipping. If you want to say, well, waiters/waitresses, cab drivers, hotel clerks and maids rely on tips...don't we get pretty darn good rates in Montreal that are significantly less than in Toronto and other places. The agencies and ladies could say, okay, you want everything included in the rates and there's no need to tip, then fine, UP go the rates.

I look at it this way. You go into a restaurant because you can afford to go there. Despite tradition tipping is not required. You tip because your enjoyed yourself. It's a small extra amount of money compared to the menu prices/base price. You see an escort because you can afford to do so, and tip because you enjoyed yourself. If you can afford the appointment in the first place then there's no excuse for not leaving a small extra amount only because you want to believe everything is included. Let's not forget the waitress isn't doing more than the standards of her job require and you are still most often tipping her. DFK, CIM, BBBJ, etc, are not standard procedures all service providers MUST offer like a waitress must be nice, polite, and efficient. If one is looking for that special GFE lady, who does not have to provide those services, if you are not tipping her for going beyond requirements of the industry then I think anyone like that is the kind of client she can rightly feel short-changed her regardless of the base price. If you are demanding great service beyond the average and getting it then I do think the onus is on you to show appreciation with a tip because she went the extra mile for you.

If you are a regular tipper otherwise outside the hobby I don't see how you can justify not tipping the lady on principle. I've cut back in the hobby for overall expense reasons, but I nearly always tip because I chose to keep seeing ladies and look for GFE service. For me scaling down does not mean changing manners. I don't see how guys who have enough money to afford many more appointments can justify not tipping. It's still your right to do it or not, but trying to justify it as included in the price looks like very "client convenient" rationalization.

Happy choices,

Merlot

IMO. People in Quebec tip too many people, anywhere from Tims servers to IGA bag people. Anyways ( If the service/food is not complete crap ), the only people I always tip are restaurant people because they work long hours and make minimal wages and sometimes put up with unreasonable customers. When someone makes $160 to $300 + per hour and offer a service I think it should be good enough. I do tip ( leave it in the bathroom after I clean up ) if an extra was involved or the lady was outstanding. Seeing a SP who charges $180 and automatically paying $200 up front does not compute with me ( looks like you are fishing for something extra ). I polled yes but there should have been a sometimes section.

Well after 20 years in this biz I always thought that when seing a SP it was clearly fishing !
Hummmmmm! The lady already offers GFE/PSE ,what type of extras would you get for a small $20.?

Gentlemen

...restaurant people because they...sometimes put up with unreasonable customers.

Just to compare what the ladies risk at the time when we look at what it means in each job to have "unreasonable customers".

Waitress:

1. I don't want to sit there, I want to sit by the window.

2. The silverware is dirty, so is the tablecloth, these seats are uncomfortable, it's too dark in here, and the music is too loud.

3. Is the food too salty, is it gluten free, why don't you offer this side dish or that side dish?

4. What's taking so long, where's my free next cups of coffee, how come they got their food before we did?

5. This doesn't taste right, it's gotten cold, the portions are too small.

6. Your service wasn't very good, you didn't answer my questions, and you were snippy with me. Where's the manager.

***The waitress has a crowd around her and she can immediately rely on support to help her out. Risk/danger is extremely minimal.

Escort:

1. Why are you late, you are not nearly as pretty as promised, you aren't dressed as I asked.

2. You don't look at all like your photos, you look older and heavier than expected, I think this is bait and switch.

3. I want $50 off each hour if I let you stay, I expect you to provide rimming, CIM, swallow, for the same rate.

4. I think you're faking, I like it rough, I want BBFS, your boss owes me a freebie.

5. Maybe the guy is unclean, has a suspicious skin condition, he's drunk and obnoxious, insists on doing hard drugs.

6. The guy threatens a bad review, refuses to pay, possibly the agency owner/booker caves in to demands to avoid bad publicity.

7. Perhaps the guy is some sort of serial offender who likes taking advantage of being alone with women.

***The escort is isolated, access to help is uncertain, the guy feels free to be abusive or violent or he may have a weapon.

On comparison of the average circumstances the escorts definitely face a much higher risk class of unreasonable customers. Risk/Danger is always uncertain and the opportunity for violence or worse is always present.

The two jobs are just not comparable on this issue.

Hum i agree we tip too much in Quebec yes.

Bagman : I never tip those, im sorry but i can do it myself, if you insist on doing it, fine, just don't expect a tip. Thats like that SDF that hold the door at the berry-uqam subway station, there is always one and when i can i actually take the other door, im sorry bro but i don't need anybody to hold a door for me. And if i would actually need it, because my hands are full or whatever, i would certainly not be able to reach my pockets. I hold the door for most people behind me, to the pregnant woman, the senior person, or even just regular dude, and i don't ask money. Not saying im not sensitive to these people, i do give to some sometimes, but only to the one i feel really need it. When i go to mtl if i happen to go out a bit, i get asked for cash like 5 times on the same street sometimes... its ridiculous.

Anyway, there is also hair dresser your somewhat expect to tip (learned that years later) , bar, restaurant, hotel (??) , yeah that one is beyond me, when i see a small envelope with a "thanks" on it, i just ignore it. My usual hotel place don't have them, but when they do have some, i don't let anything, im already paying 100$ plus for ONE NIGHT, not even 24H, so sorry buddy... lol I have a friend that did that job, cleaning some motel room, and it was crazy just in alchool what he would bring back, sometimes other type of food, seem like rich peoples don't mind wasting there $. This can be a tip in itself.

Anyway would it be me, tipping would simply get away in every domain, just like +taxes, i hate that concept. I would like to pay the price listed and thats it. Im not saying governement taxes should go away, im saying the price should include it and not be 9.99+taxes. I love those stores that do that, you know what to pay and all and don't have to count jack....

But SP business is different, and if there is a business where tipping is deserved , i think its this one, considering the nature of the deeds. But as i said before, extra for $ = tip for me. Do you guys think the same? Or is it just because im use to something.

I beg to differ ricflair,a tip is never expected but always appreciated...that's how I know for sure I was not the only one having a fabulous time
the donation given without fuss is what is expected...

Well grossomodo. I do tip almost all the time. Just pointing out the issues surrounding it.

I do not think you comprehended what I posted.... I never said there was a comparison and did not even make one, it would be foolish. I only wanted to point out that I will tip someone who takes home $60 a day when I get reasonable service, it has always been that way in the restaurant / bar industry. Someone who makes 20 times that for a described service, well..... Now if I tipped my dentist, chiropractor, optometrist etc and not a SP that would be wrong in my book.

I agree with you on the tax point, i am tired of being told an amount and when i hand over the cash, umm wheres the rest, you said 300$ thats what i gave you, well there's tax, well why don't you tell us the total amount for Christ sakes, its seems here in quebec you have to bust a nut to get a straight answer. In the states if an attorney, dentist, store owner or whatever tells you its 300$ then that's it, no more, tax included have a nice day with no complaints or hassles. If a person asks how much, its because they want to know what they need to bring and to know if this is what they want to pay.

On the tipping, well, to each his own, i do leave a tip for the maid where i stay cause i stay there a lot and i have gotten to know some of them, and i leave a mess and sometimes things have been broken, like with Hannah@ mojo, a lamp was broken and i propped it up as best i could , but im sure when they vacuumed it fell over, lol.
I do tip on other occasions and in different situations, depends if i have it to tip, i dont carry change on me at all times, your loonies and twoonies are a pain, much easier to carry dollar bills and not as cold when you drop them in the girls panties at the strip joints, lol.

As for the SP tipping, well i do tip, out of all my adventures i can only remember not tipping 2 or 3 times, one for sure was Emily@ Mojo, wish i could taken money back then, besides that the envelope is filled before the lady arrives with the tip included already, now if she doesn't open that envelope till she leaves which is what normally happens, then she doesn't know she has received anything extra yet and just does what she is there to do and nothing extra, if i am happy and think maybe i should add a little more then i will and also if the service was bad or she leaves earlier, then i have the option to withdraw from the envelope and i only have done that 2 or 3 times.
I have had a few ladies ask me if i was told the amount over the phone and i would say yes and she would say that i paid to much and i said no its OK, that's what i wanted to add to the envelope for you and some are very surprised, like they never received a tip before, maybe because they are new to the business or just hasn't clique d with a client yet, its sure that if things don't go 100% with a client then you may not get a tip.

Its very rare the ladies ask for the envelope up front and i am not a fan of this but can not control this and i tend to be put off by the simple act of asking for the envelope first, its like giving a deposit for a service, and i don't consider this to be___________ , i am not sure what word i was looking for here, you fill in the blank, but what i am trying to say is that we want GFE, passion, intimacy, someone to cuddle with and forget about our day for a night with some really great sex and sometimes fantasies, the ladies are not food, a piece of furniture or a car, they are what i call a calm to my storm, not a wife that i come home to and asks me for money as soon as i walk in the door to go shopping, lol. Ok, i can understand that some of the ladies have been stiffed and well i have been ripped off to, but i take it and move on. I think about all the times that i came out ahead and that evens things up, so ladies, you get stiffed, think about all the tips you have gotten and the wonderful people you have met, lol, some more generous then others and maybe it doesn't always make up for it but its somewhere to start.

There was one time when my fee was 190$ and i left 200$ in an envelope and the SP opened it and said i hope you don't expect change, well for one thing i haven't repeated with her and another is that i found it rude in a way but hey, just like SPs have to put up with bad clients, we have to put up with bad SPs so i guess that's my take on a lot of things here, have a great day.

Hello all,

I do not think you comprehended what I posted...

I did actually. But I often look at what people post and go on angles of my own. My post wasn't about you it's about the idea of bringing up waitresses every time we discuss tipping escorts. Why do that? Many people have brought up waitresses and their poor pay when talking about tipping escorts. I've never seen how that has any relevance to the issue of tipping escorts but people keep bringing it up and pointing to the big difference in pay per day. Again I think that's irrelevant. If they think that matters that's their opinion. I look at tipping as appreciation of service no matter what scale of pay the provider is getting. That's the only basis of tipping for me. Service not base pay is the key. I don't tip because anyone has a lousy paying job, I tip for good service just given and because I want the provider to remember me and keep on providing that good service, same as I would for a waitress, or maid or whoever.

I do not think you comprehended what I posted.... I never said there was a comparison and did not even make one, it would be foolish.

My post was not about your point, it was about my own take out of comparing the point of having "unreasonable customers" in each job. I agree there's no comparison but if people are going to bring up waitresses every time we discuss tipping escorts then those people are saying there is a comparison. On that basis I tried to point out how dealing with unreasonable customers between the two jobs really compares. Obviously the situations are drastically different, which I again say makes bringing up the waitressing conditions for any reason when discussing escorts irrelevant. But if one is going to tip for just an extra cup of coffee or timely good food with a nice smile then how does anyone excuse not tipping after getting a high quality fantasy service with a great beauty. Does the extra coffee and a smile really earn that much more appreciation than high quality sex? Is being with Zoe, Isabella, or Chloe something less than being served a high quality meal.

Do escorts who provides you a fantasy intimacy experience really need to apologize for having a much better starting pay than a waitress who delivers a meal actually made by the cook...who also has lousy pay, long hours and hot conditions and doesn't get any tip?

But SP business is different, and if there is a business where tipping is deserved , i think its this one, considering the nature of the deeds.

Agreed. What kind of talent does it really take to waitress? Patience, staying nice, smiling, staying organized. Yes it can get tiring and frustrating...like any other job. Doesn't the escort need the same skills, while providing so much of herself with the kind of skilled intimate fantasy orgasmic service or "product". Talk about just the idea of service, the waitress delivers what others produced. The escort has it all on her in isolated and extremely risky conditions.

People seem to think tipping is about pitying someone for having a poorly paying job. I say it's about quality service and what that means in terms of the level of enjoyment. If you can consider arguing that you are getting more out of what a waitress does for you than what an escort does for you then have the waitress sent up to your room instead of the escort, because if you believe that then you have been wasting a lot of your money calling agencies for gorgeous ladies with great intimacy skills. If you orgasm over an omelet with coffee...well...stick to that.

Cheers,

Merlot

Lol holy shit what you do to break lamps and all? :p Personally i always leave the room in a very correct state. I mean sure the bed is a mess but whatever, they are gonna change it anyway. Same for the "serviette" in the bathroom and i usually make sure to put all my garbages in the trashcan. I mean... i book small room and beside maybe leaving a beer bottle or 2 on ocasion, there is not much i do that would justify extra $. Hotel room as VERY costly, especially in summer, so personally for me the price i pay include the clean state of the room when i arrive and cleaning it again when i leave. Obviously to each there own but i never broke anything, never made a mess or anything. In that particular case i can say my repeat business at this hotel is enough :p

As for the 1$ bills, well we did actually had them long time ago, we even had 2$ bills, i never understood why they where removed honestly. I was very young but i remember my grand father keeping some 1 and 2$ bills for souvenir. I agree that change can get very annoying. If anything these days with interract for the bigger payments and all, it would be better than ever to bring back the 1 and 2$ bills, or at least the 1$.

Merlot... your post are too long to quote.
Anyways, If you go to a dentist who performs a root canal and there is zero discomfort do you tip? If a doc performs a perfect colon exam do you tip?
In high paid professionals the tip is returning to see them and telling your friends that you found a great dentist or whatever.
Back to the waitress thingy, tipping a waitress has been tradition for a long time and it is due to the min wage they earn ( yes cooks get a cut of that even the bus boys ). I do not tip them because I am sorry for them I tip them to supliment their low wage, a tradition that has been around for centuries.
Looks like it is 60 - 40 in favor of no tipping so far.

Hello all,

Looks like it is 60 - 40 in favor of no tipping so far.

People can have their own opinion of course, but a vote has nothing to do with the right or wrong way of doing anything.

Anyways, If you go to a dentist who performs a root canal and there is zero discomfort do you tip? If a doc performs a perfect colon exam do you tip?

I know one very hot Portuguese dental assistant. If she blows me she will DEFINITELY get a tip. ;)

Otherwise this has no connection to escorts unless you can say you got the same intimacy from them. Besides that a dentist has to do the job as needed. The dentists has to provide you with exactly the care prescribed by procedure and the law and they charge for every little thing. An escort can choose to provide extra service such as rim, CIM, swallow, etc. If she does that and does it well it's going beyond what she had to do and deserves compensation in my opinion.

People can cite any profession they like and it's still a misdirection...unless your dentist or mechanic etc is giving intimacy leading to orgasm.

In high paid professionals the tip is returning to see them and telling your friends that you found a great dentist or whatever.

Above is an opinion. I see it as a rationalization to get away with not tipping.

I never said all escorts should be tipped. I say those who give the extra quality service should be.

I'm still waiting for anyone to explain how waitressing or dentistry is anything like having great sex with a gorgeous skilled woman.

Cheers,

Hello all,

Hello all

A debate on tipping ,interesting views from none tippers and tippers !:thumb:
Should you tip someone that charges $500 or $600 per hours ,
Well I do tip my lawyers after a great victory for me ,Bonuses and incentive sometimes can operate magic ,they become more determined to win ,if they win I win .

When hundreds of Thousands of $$$$$ are involved its certainly not a few thousands that change anything for me ,but it will for the person receiving the tip ,it becomes a acknowledgement of your appreciation of their competence .

In this Industry ,I have received tips from stag party organizers ,for the success I had supplying ,the right ladies or for having ,many ladies on time .
When others where late late late .

One of my friends in Vancouver is at first experience hiring a ciminal lawyer ,even if the charges are bogus he still needs to mount a defense .

I met my friends lawyer for the first time ,last January where the trial was set to go ,my friend was unprepared ,son ask him to instruct is lawyer to request a postponement for 3 to 4 months so we would have time to study the file and build a proper strategy defense ,the lawyer was at first reluctant ,but my friend under my advice gave him a sealed Bonus envelop .
The lawyer was able to obtain a 4 months postponement of the trial ,afterward we met me I my friend with the lawyer 4 or 5 times even invited him for lunch ,to build a trust relationship .
The trial was supposed to be on June 4th but it was postponed again because the plaintiff has provided a third version of the bogus assault which the crown and defendant where not aware .
Because of the tips my friends lawyer was coming prepared at trial with a second lawyer to take notes of the trail not to miss anything .

Would he have not tipped is lawyer ,the trial would already be over .
My friend knows it and acknowledges it .

Even high earners are motivated by showings of appreciations ,it is human !

Cheers

As I have always stated... If there are "extras " I always tip. For regular service which is advertised the chances are unlikely. My comments were directed towards people who tip in advance before the service even begins.

I never said all escorts should be tipped. I say those who give the extra quality service should be.

My exact thoughts, reason I posted that a "sometimes " should have been in the poll as I tip when the extras are thrown in.

I'm still waiting for anyone to explain how waitressing or dentistry is anything like having great sex with a gorgeous skilled woman.

Personally I have not compared the 2 professions, just stated that waitresses get tipped by me always because of their minimal wage and it is a "norm " to tip waitresses.

Now........... After all this we kind of agree that tipping should not always be done unless extras were given to the client being service wise or just clicking perfectly, something I posted right from the beginning.

Enjoy the weekend.

Hello all,

Is that not the same for SP's?

NO, the dentist will always charge you item for item for everything they do. The average escort will only give you basic service. I think that is covered by the rate and no tip is warranted. But when a lady goes further then she should be tipped IF it was good and not just going through the motions for a tip.

As I have always stated... If there are "extras " I always tip. For regular service which is advertised the chances are unlikely. My comments were directed towards people who tip in advance before the service even begins.

So we agree on much more than not.

I always tip waitresses and always at 20% to 30%. I don't eat out much so I tend to be generous when I do. My objection has always been that this stuff about the poor waitress and her need for tips has nothing whatsoever to do with the question of tipping escorts. I find the comparison a faux rationalization.
