I thought I would try this venue.

I need a pair of F1 tickets. I am not picky but would prefer a seat as opposed to General Admission.

I am staying downtown.

he's asking $650 per ticket. he didn't say which grandstand.

There are PLENTY of guys selling tickets right after you exit the Metro station, near the ticket office. You can haggle with them on the price. Know what grandstand you are buying (bring a map) as the price/view varies. The hairpin grandstands are most popular. You can probably buy GenAdm onsite for list price at the ticket office, but the promoter makes sure GA has very limited viewing potential. Get a GrandStand ticket.

Go to the FREE open house on Thursday (9-noon) and they will already be there selling. Check with several different sellers and haggle with them.

Twice I've bought tickets from scalpers on Saturday. They were located just outside the Metro station on the island. I paid the price listed on the tickets. Make sure you take a map of the course with the seating locations.
