Ticketmaster, believe it or not.

They were offering "unique single seat offer" tickets
Tickets are cheaper for games involving teams no one is interested in. I was in Toronto a couple of weeks ago & someone offered me a good deal on a ticket but i had zero interest in the visiting team so i declined the offer. I don’t go much to the games now since i got tired of paying extreme prices to watch NHL games in Canada. I prefer attending games when they involve quality opponents or especially good teams i’ve never seen before. But the negative side is that these are considered prime games & thus overpriced. Therefore i’ve decided that the next NHL game i’ll attend will likely be somewhere in the US where ticket prices are reasonable. The last NHL game i attended was last March when the Oilers were in Toronto to face the Leafs. My ticket cost me around $680 (via Ticketmaster) but it was a fantastic game & i finally got to see McDavid & Draisatl play live. The previous games i had attended were first Pittsburgh & two nights later i decided to attend the Carolina game at the last minute since it wasn’t a team i had on my NHL games bucket list. But it turned out to be one of the most memorable games in NHL history: the infamous David Ayres game! So i first got to see the Leafs beat Crosby & Malkin & two nights later see them lose against the zamboni driver! Lol

$680!!! No way I’m paying these prices!
I attended a lot of games in the 80s 90s, always here in Montreal, sharing season tickets. The only time outside MTL was in 2002 in Raleigh, season opener, Habs vs Hurricane. Canes had eliminated Montreal in the former playoffs. Tickets were crazy cheap, I showed up at the tailgate with a Habs jersey, the fans were great I had a blast. By the time I reached my seat I was already drunk! Lol

2007-2008 I attended 3 games at Bell Center, I was lucky enough to get access to Bombardier’s corporate box, I admit I didn’t care much about the game, the food(amazing),the wine and the hostess had all my attention! Pierre Beaudoin definitely has great taste. Of course these were freebies.

For nearly twenty years i rarely missed a game between the Leafs & Habs whether they played in Mtl or in Toronto. Often it was for the season opener or a regular season game. The last time i attended one of these was over a year ago in Mtl. The only time i ever sat in a private box was in 2013 or 2014 for a game between these same two teams. It was the Casino de Montreal’s corporate box & the beer was flowing & the food was great! But i felt it was harder to follow the game with everything going on in the box plus we were located high in a corner which wasn’t an ideal location to follow a game. Usually i prefer sitting somewhere between the blue lines & about ten rows or so above the ice level in the reds. I rarely sit in the ends or in the corners because i’ve never been able to get used to the protective nets at both ends of the rink. I find they interfere too much with the field of vision, especially the darker colored ones in Mtl. And although I’ve often sat in the double reds i now hate them because i find it’s harder to follow the game since you can’t see what going on at the farther end of the ice & in the corners on your side. I noticed that i’d spend half the game watching the game from the scoreboard!

Kopitar was drafted the same year as Carey Price and later than Carey.
He his still playing and has won 2 Stanley Cup.
Did the Kings made a better choice than the Habs ? I think so.
In his first 4 or 5 first season, Price goaled Ok. In season 2009-2010, the Habs wasn't in the playoffs with Price in the goal.
Yaroslav Halack brought the team in playoffs and was miraculous in the first two rounds that the Habs won.
In the off season, General Manager Bob Gainey kept Price and disposed of Halack.
I'm not sure but Gainey had drafted Price, explaining his decision.

Very interesting game tonight against Buffalo. Primeau have been excellent in the goal.
The 19 years old Slavkoski shows what he can do playing with a good center.
In shoot-out, he showed he has good hands and long reach.
He might develop as a first overall draft pick. That draft wasn't the most talented.
There was not a Connor Bedard in it.

Its still very odd that the Habs managed to go in overtime and grab the win. For sure Primeau and Slavkoski played a great game, now it seems like Suzuki and Caufield will have to up their finishing touch around the net, especially Caufield who looks like he’s lost his confidence, depriving him from that split second he had last year.

Same problem: no offense. This is a team that shoots with blanks. I’m starting to think they may end up regretting Caulfield’s big contract in the same way they now regret Gallagher’s & Anderson’s contracts. He’s a small one dimensional player who doesn’t backcheck, forecheck or kill penalties. Average skater & all he brings to the fold is that big wrist shot. But when he’s not scoring he’s practically useless! He’ll be lucky to get 25 goals this season! As for Josh Anderson, Dvorak & Brendan Gallagher why don’t they take a chance & put them on waivers & send them to Laval? Enough with overpaid unproductive players on awful contracts!

And by the way: Pezzetta has no business being in the NHL & Justin Baron should be in Laval.

Are you guys aware that Arber Xhekaj is 6th in the NHL in penalty minutes with 47, and is 2nd in the NHL in PIM/game? At the tender age of 22, and having played only 17 games, I find this to be quite impressive. He is also the youngest guy in the top 6. It shows lots of chutzpah.
One of my mottoes in life (which has always served me well in court, especially with suck-ass cases) has always been, if you are going down, go down with a fight. For this reason, I am very very impressed by young Xhekaj.

Of course but only time will solve this. No way the Habs are going to bring up some kids from Laval if they are not ready for the NHL. It would only kill their confidence and delay their progress. Already, because of injuries, we see some young guns who should not be there. Just in terms of playing systems and coaching, there is a lot that can be done before even thinking about bringing up younger blood.
