How well is MERB known to hobbyist in Montreal.

There is no real way to know how well MERB is known to Montreal hobbyist, so anything would be a guess.
My guess is that Merb may be known to about 25 - 33% of the anglo hobbyist, and not known well to the uniilingual french hobbyist. What is your guess.

I'm not sure about Montrealers, but I would venture that any hobbyist who travels to Montreal would normally google something that would lead them to either Merb or one of the other similar boards. This especially applies to hobbyists from Toronto or Westen Canada who are members of Terb or Perb. The nnotion of looking at Merb is almost automatic.
Beyond that, I'd go out on a limb and suggest that all merbites are aware of merb.

A little while ago, as a virtual virgin to the scene in Montreal I did some internet searching to look for ladies when I entered the market.
It did not take me too long to trip into the first board, then the second and the third...

So I would have to say that anyone who is doing any research at all should be finding MERB with relative ease.
And if you are not researching, what are you thinking...

In journal de montreal there's always 30-40 agency advertising... maybe 20-30 massage place... make it 5 clients average a day each X 7 days in a week and you can figure that the % is really low if you compare what's appening here (amount of posts and reviews).

I have always considered MERB and the blue board as "Adult Traveler Boards". Many active MERB contributors do not live in Montreal. Seven years ago, the interventions of these members were informative as they wrote about their stays and kinky adventures in our lovely city Montreal. Nowadays, and given the economic situation in the U.S, those posts sound as boring as hell. Who really cares about reading baseball and hockey threads in an escort-related site?

Both boards failed lamentably to attract the locals, those who buy the JDM, pick up the phone and arrange for a rendez-vous. I have never met any of the MERB advertisers, but once and that was Ronnie. I call SPs, once in a blue moon, who advertise either on JDM or on a123, but I will never post reviews on my encounters here just because I think that MERB is not the place to do so.

Very accurate. Simple explanation. Beyond the JDM, buffered between the various free internet sites, you have the long established incalls etc that service certain area or niche clients, advertising in district weeklies. Some have never been mentioned on either board, mainly their preference as to where they wish to be seen, mine clients, etc.

You also have the part time providers working as they see fit, frequenting the various local bars - "Ladies Night", etc. Parallel to the boards but never intersecting. Various barriers - linguistic mainly.

Just the way it has been going back generations before the pre-internet days and chances are that it will continue without much change.

BTW - do not ask. If they wish to come on the boards they are perfectly capable of doing so on their own.
