iPhone 6 Plus

A hobbyist buddy of mine has one & when i looked at it a week ago, it reminded me of a slightly smaller iPad Mini.

Personally, i find it too big & bulky, but i find it perfect for people i know who find the iPhone 5 too small and have a lot of trouble reading on it.

I've had an iPhone 6+ for about a month now and absolutely love it.

I use it s lot for work emails and also accessing certain websites for work. Works like a gem and pictures are amazing. I have zero issues keeping it in my jacket chest pocket or my front pocket. (I never use my back pocket for any phone I've ever had)

Once you get used to the size you can not go back to anything smaller. Trust me it's awesome.

I completely agree. I would add that I bought the pelican case which also comes with a holster. A friend of mine expressed concern about carrying it around in jeans. You can simply attach the holster to your belt or pocket. However I am finding it fits in my suit pockets as long as I don't try to stuff other crap in the pocket.

I believe suit manufacturers will need to make slightly bigger pockets if they want to sell some suits. I am going over to Joseph A Banks later to ask about this and what they are doing to change their suit design to accommodate the modern man.

Android with a quality phone is purely what you make it. I have a good friend who owns 2 Boost stores. You'd think that he would go for a I-Phone, but he prefers his S3 to anything else. With my S3 and a Hyperion 7000mah battery/case I easily get 20+ hours on a single charge with rock hard security. I call it my hockey puck because it can take so much abuse without a complaint. The operating system truly runs flawlessly with the availability of virtually anything that an I-Phone does. The Phone FX app really enhances the camera's abilities. All of this for $35 a month with unlimited everything, what more could I ask?

Numerati,

The FCC regulates SAR levels and cellphones are not allowed to be sold in the USA unless below the SAR level permitted by the FCC. Anything under 1.6 is deemed safe. You probably have a better chance of getting cancer from smoking cigarettes or any of a number of other behaviors. Honestly the cellphone you choose will have much less influence on Numerati's chances of getting cancer than a multitude of other lifestyle choices as well as genetic factors.

Getting back to the iPhone 6 plus- I have used it for only one day and it makes my iPhone 5 feel like a dinosaur piece of shit. It's like comparing video in VHS format to DVD.

Reason I am concerned about high SAR is because I used to own a Palm Tree 650. That thing has a very high SAR of 1.51 W\kg. I could never talk for more than 15 minutes on that thing. Or even 10 minutes for that matter. After usage I get these headaches that last for about an hour or so. The iPhone 6 line is .01 under the 1.6 ceiling. I am not taking my chances. Don't care what the FCC states what is safe or not when my health and well being are involved. Given that Steve Jobs passed away from liver cancer you would think Apple would be more careful about the safety of their products. Maybe Job's liver cancer has no connection to all those Apple gadgets but given the radiation exposure he exposes himself to on a daily basis you would wonder.

I went from the 5 to the 6 plus about a week ago. Very happy that I did it. Living in NYC, it was nearly impossible to pick up the one I wanted either at an Apple store or my carrier. Ended up buying it online at Apple, picked a Connecticut location for the pick up and drove about 20 minutes to grab it. I opted for the 128 gig with the black front. Impressed with the camera, storage, and the screen. No issues with the phone bending and I'm happy with the extra large screen. The landscape mode is a wonderful addition and I really enjoy using the browser now with the larger screen. I also have a 5 that I use for business and I found it difficult going back to the small screen. The 6 plus with it's larger screen, big keyboard, etc. was a great upgrade.

Update - 2 months into owning the 6 plus and I couldn't be happier. It's like having a mini mini that fits in your suit jacket pocket. One of the best tech purchases I've made in a really long time. The 5 that I use for business is about to be upgraded to the 6 plus.
