Correction... Brazil is in South America not Europe. And it seems that anal sex is common in the latino culture. Some further clarification from me is required. I had a friend (unfortunately now deceased from cancer) who all his life to everyone's knowledge was a straight guy. He had many girlfriends and fucked all of them. When he got into his early 40s he came out and started living a gay life that is similar to what we live as heterosexual hobbyists.
