This hobby, over time, has a mind numbing effect. The key to regain interest is to lower the frequency. I would suggest not more than once a month and to explore real hobbies in the meantime...
I used to hobby once a week (and was satisfied) and now I'm on a hiatus since almost 2 months.
I'm looking for a nearby new gem who can take care of me but I don't chase for occasions as I use to do anymore.
So far, that's all right. I guess I will be more than ready for next session hoping it will be a good and fun one (a new ATF?...).
I agree. I’ve been hobbying 1-2 times per week since the beginning of this year (it’s more frequent than in past years).
Although I’ve been enjoying it, you’re right that it seems to have a numbing effect when it’s too much. I should lower the frequency.
The title is appropriate for me these days, I’ve really started to experience a loss of interest lately. Between some sub-par encounters and a couple of cancellations lately, it is becoming quite discouraging. Tough when you plan some time for this and get ghosted/cancelled!
But the funny thing is that I don’t get as upset with cancellations anymore. I actually did some other activities when my appointments were cancelled, so I saved some $ and I kept busy with something else (gym, drinks with friends, etc).
This hobby can be great, but I try to not let it discourage me when things don’t go right. It’s good to have other activities in our lives, circle of friends, travel, other hobbies, etc.
So although I’ve lost interest somewhat, I’ll continue to hobby less frequently. Maybe quality over quantity is better! Save some $ as well. And by keeping busy with other things, I don’t depend on this hobby as much.

I book a day or two in advance and have limited time, travel about half hour to the location to be told she is not available. It is a pain to find a replacement as I have a preference and have had some replacements not what I was looking for.
For getting tired of this, yes the person I saw for the past while ( I was only in Montreal every few months though ) finished school and retired. Trying to find someone as a replacement, nice to find someone who changes things up on her own every so often.
I think this hobby should be more for the 45-55 year range that has experienced life (marriage, kids, house, etc, that know that the clock is ticking and they need to get their fix for a bit, that have the maturity and know that this is a fantasy, not reality), this shouldn’t be a real way of life for younger gents, you will be damage goods, just my 2 cents
You make valid points without any doubt. I would just add a slight correction in your text changing "45-55 year range" for "45+ year range". (preaching for my parrish I admit)
i've had many dips in motivation to see SWs over the years...the good news is, it never lasts

I would see an sp every 2-3 weeks. I told myself I'd cut my hobbying time in half this year for various reasons. I've actually been much less active. I've only had 2 dates this year but the need for companionship is creeping back...Maybe we all need to get away for a bit in order to start enjoying it again.
I feel the same, after twelve years of hobbying, these days are particular...

I am going through one right now mostly because summers are difficult. So difficult to plan because SPs suddenly cancel due to travel. Made 2 appointments earlier this week and I drove up 2 hours into Montreal and both took last minute trips and cancelled. Just hard to plan since SPs are so busy in the summersi've had many dips in motivation to see SWs over the years...the good news is, it never lasts
I do not see escorts much so my comment is more directed for stripclubs. Especially since covid and in 2023 I lost considerable interest. Way more of my experiences has been sub-par mostly due to the girls. They are greedy and less interested to provide mileage. I like to go during the week but there is a total lack of beautiful fun strippers, they all pile up on Fridays and Saturdays and you know these two days are also packed with young college kids. The last bunch of girls I danced it was quiet sub-par. Poor to limited full contact grinding. I got to stick with my regulars to leave with a smile. I did meet some fun girls but I rarely see them around. Girls also are very nonchalatant, they do not seem interested to seek out clients and rather chill with ghetto thugs that have the big bottle pretending to be in a hip hop video as ballers.
I’ve also hit a bad stretch now. Summertime is tough for the clients because there are many tourists and more guys hobbying. To top it off, some SPs are on vacation, so sometimes there are less SPs working.
I have trouble booking the popular ladies at agencies, and if I do manage to get a booking, it’s probably not at my preferred time. As well, with agencies booking back to back, I feel rushed during the session.
Indy rates have practically doubled, so I’d have to cut down considerably if I go that route.
Tough times, but hopefully things improve going forward.

So yesterday afternoon I had an open schedule, money burning a hole in my pocket, several mps full of available girls within a 15min radius of me, and I was like, "meh, too much work".... I could not be bothered trying to find someone new. All the girls I know and like were not workimg. I find trying to find new girls that I will like more and more difficult.
I hope I bounce back soon, or else I will need a new hobby

I tend to turn to golf whenever i need to take a break and or if my day does not give me what i am looking for. I love playing golf, almost as much as women and sex. And sometimes just as expensive. Golf in Quebec like many things, is seasonal, so my hormones rage in the winter because release is always a few months away. And then again, i think about sex and women as i play golf. I spend just as much time looking for a place and time to play golf as i put into looking for a woman and time to meet with her.
Now, if I could meet a woman who shares my passion for golf, looks good in a short skirt, tight polo shirt and doesn't mind spending the rest of the day in bed together, sign me up for this paradise. And oh my god if she surprises me and the wind blows her skirt up and she's all commando down there, icing on the cake. This scenario does not have to be a fantasy.
Just saying...Now i am not sure if i should go golfing today or spend the afternoon at a MP. Okay both.
Same for me, been playing some golf lately and it takes my my mind off the dip in hobbying. Lol!

Guys who r noticing a loss of interest in sex should go for a full blood work up, could be a thyroid, testosterone or even cholestrol problem. Could also be a mental problem so an antidepressant like Wellbutrin might help if Prozac or Lexapro makes junior go to sleep. Men are meant to fuck, not golf or garden.
