I think ghosting is the new normal and yes I believe it's a generational thing.
You don't think it goes both ways? We get ghosted too lol Everything that's been brought up in this thread happens to us all the time. I don't think it's a new phenomenon, I mean I'm sure there were many times when providers were not sitting next to their rotary phone to answer every single call.
And I doubt they called back or that callers even left a message on the answering machine. Because they didn't want anyone else to answer the phone if the provider decided to return the call right as they were at the table for dinner. Easier to say wrong number without call display though, I guess. lol
Anyway, nothing new. It's just that cell phones made people expect an immediate reply. Where someone may not have answered the phone because they knew they didn't have time right then for a phone conversation. Now they reply to a text while they're doing something else.
So maybe it seems like a new thing but thats only because of the expectation that people should be available whenever we try to reach them. Lol
