Montreal Buffets

The only good hotel breakfast buffet I recall seeing in Montreal was at the Delta Centre Ville.

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Select but was not impressed with their buffet.

Apparently one of the restos that is reviewed in the Montreal Breakfast Review does a Sunday Brunch Buffet, but my trip will not extend to Sunday so it is not applicable for me.

Was surfing the restaurant review and ran across EB's post above. I remember a chinese all you can eat buffet, Orallover took me there a couple of years ago...but can't remember the name or exact location (maybe he can provide that info here).

Any restaurants with good buffets in Montreal?

There was a resto reviewed in there that does a breakfast or brunch buffet, I can't recall the name, so you'll have to look through the reviews. I think it was kind of a high end sounding buffet as opposed to the thrifty type all you can eat style, from what I remember.

I don't get it!!!!!!!!!!!

We have so many good restaurants in Montreal and you only have one thing in your mind: BUFFET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sometimes, you just want to sample a little bit of everything

this is especially the case with Chinese food

i'd like to see a Mexican buffet, but I've yet to find one

Chinese buffets are often anything but Chinese... Americanized Chinese at best.
Including the Mandarin series, all Chinese buffets I've eaten at in the Montreal area were let's say not at the good end on the taste scale. Overcooked food, old stuff stirred-over and over, humongous amount of salt, MSG...

probably the only buffet in Montreal serving decent food.

Now, Devilish/GOF frequently have a quite a tasty buffet available but I think XXXTase was the winner last week on Tuesday.

Odaki on St Laurent, Japenese Buffet (a la carte) costs around 20$.

Buffets are terrible for their quality of food. But if you must then "a la carte" buffets are the way to go. Kanda is another japanese place and Hot and Spicy for chinese.

Try Zen at the Omni Hotel. It's all you can eat for around $35/person, but you order from the menu and they bring each dish out fresh.... No old food sitting under heat lamps. I have found the quality to be pretty good but I didn't eat there for a while.

I'm not too crazy myself about buffet. Exactly for the same reasons presented by former posters.

In the category of restaurants where you can eat «endlessly», there's the churassacaria Milsa (I ate there yesterday). Fresh grilled meat (10 different cuts) that are presented to you (in a rodizío). With that, you can eat endlessly rice, sweet potatoes, sauté mushrooms, bread and mixed salad. For meat lovers only.

Most of the buffets mentioned are good, but you have to know that there are some days of the week that they offer special dishes like shrimp or crab. La Stanza is good
