Look behind you.
From what I read he used the N word about the music he was playing in the locker room. When I was playing football in high school the coach used more than the fucking N word when he was on a rant.

Flames coach Peters has written a letter of apology, saying his comments were a “moment of frustration” and not reflective of his “true personal values”. I think he will keep his job and you guys are missing the mark with your posts. You all forget that in the NFL Josh Allen and Nick Bosa were exposed to have made racist comments in their Twitter accounts when in high school. Both were forced to sit down with their black teammates and explain their actions. Neither guy was released. They were given passes by their black teammates, some of whom in Allen’s case are responsible for protecting his ass.

Peters is a coach but does he even have any black players on his team to sit down and talk with? Jarome Iginla retired years ago and is going into the Hall of Fame soon. The Flames know they have a winner on their hands in Peters and apologies from winners get accepted. Apologies from losers do not. It’s that simple. If Flames were in last place his ass would be burned toast, but they aren’t and he isn’t.

Remember as well that Don Cherry would have kept his job if he apologized. He didn’t. Peters did. So it’s a situation where the team will send him for sensitivity training, make him apologize to Akim Alin and after that he will be back with the team.

Huge comebacks have been a recurrent theme of this NHL season. No leads are safe. You have to play 3 full periods of hockey to win, which is as it should be.

On another note, with his hat trick against Montreal Tuesday night, Pastrnak continues his goal a game pace. He now has 23 goals in 24 games. An 80 goal season may be within his reach.

Another loss by the lowly Habs against the equally lowly Devils. This time by a score of 6-4. Carey Price may have been weak on two goals but to be honest he saved several goals from making the score worse than it was! The Habs outshot the Devils but the difference in the game were the high number of 2 on 1's allowed by the habs against a defenceless Price! That's now 5 losses in a row (or is it 6?) by the habs!

p.s. Anyone know if our good friend Vavavoom is okay? He hasn't been around here since the habs started their current losing streak. Just asking.

Ya i saw him. He is fine. But it took me time to recognize him at the airport with a big hat, dark glasses, fake moustache and a one way ticket to djiboutie ;)

Montreal is right now 4 points out of playoff position. Carolina and Philadelphia are tied for the 2 wild card spots with 31 points. At the moment, Montreal is closer to 14th place in the Eastern Conference than they are to the final wild card.

I'm currently listening to Tony Marinaro's show and he mentioned that Carey Price is 50th among goaltenders in statistics! On top of that the Habs are paying him $15 million this season!!! Wow!!!!

And Marinaro just found out that Bergevin is currently in Russia and i chuckled when he sarcastically replied: "In Russia? Boy i'm sure he'll find a lot of character guys there." And then it came to him: "Maybe he's trying to bring Andrei Markov back!!!" Funny stuff!

In other news the Calgary Flames have called a press conference for 12:30pm (ET) and it's expected they'll announce the firing of coach Bill Peters.

Peters was fired because his letter of apology was apparently exposed as full of shit and insincere. He put in too much detail. Should have just said sorry and left it at that. Keep it simple stupid (KISS) method always applies in public apologies. Less is more.

Well it was a much closer game than the score indicates. It was 1-1 in the third, then 2-1 when the Flyers scored a minute later. Then late in the third they made it 3-1. Then the Leafs took their goalie out with two minutes left to go and that's how the score ended up 6-1.

I love the Flyers as a team. Speed, skill & good goaltending with Carter Hart. I saw them in Toronto a month ago and told my buddies they'd be a team to watch for. I was very impressed with them although they weren't doing too well in the standings at the time. Plus Alain Vigneault is their coach and i've always considered him to be a very good coach.

With the Oiler win yesterday back in first in the division and 5th overall. Draisaitl and McDavid still 1 & 2 with a good lead. Habs won, good to see. Toronto is still skidding, this thread is awfully quiet when the Leafs are not winning. Where are the Boston or Washington fans, playing very well.
