No,,,,not a clue....?

The Stars are only saying that the “unprofessional conduct” did not involve a Stars employee, was not criminal conduct, only came to light Sunday and that they vetted it with Stars General Counsel. No comment is being made out of “respect for all parties”, whomever they are.

It’s kind of surprising because he came from college hockey with a good record there, working with college kids.

The hockey media doesn’t seem to be very aggressive in pursuing the story and the Dallas media is obsessed with why the Cowboys suck more than this story.

Hockey twitters continue to swirl with speculation over the unspecified "unprofessional conduct" that got Jim Montgomery fired as coach of the Dallas Stars. Some of the theories being advanced:

-He said he believed Brett Hull’s goal in the 1999 Stanley Cup finals should have been disallowed.

-Radio interview he gave to the Ticket, link is here: https://omny.fm/shows/the-ticket-top-10/monty-on-monty
(sounds irreverent, I would not have done it, not sure if it is a firing offense)

- Fucking Jamie Benn's wife

-Went out with a few of the ice girls, got drunk, and one of them snapchatted the whole thing

-He said management and ownership were horseshit.

- He put spicy mustard on French Fries in public

WASH, NYI, BOS & STL. Fook, nice year so far. Still on the fence if the Oilers get into the playoffs.

I read the transcript of the interview and Roenick was obviously kidding around. Once again the politically-correct media overreacts again and by suspending Roenick makes the alleged incident look even bigger than it really is!

It reminds me of a live interview with Leafs player Morgan Rielly a few years ago prior to the Leafs drafting Auston Matthews. Rielly & Mike Babcock were in Europe at the time for the World Championships and Matthews was also there since he spent his last amateur year playing in Europe. The Leafs had the first pick overall and everyone knew they'd be choosing Matthews. Rielly when interviewed once he was back home later was joking around and being sarcastic during the interview (which was obvious to anyone with a brain) and pretended to be offended that Babcock was ignoring everyone else in order to meet and hang out with Matthews every chance he got. The next thing you know the french Quebec media made up some bullshit story that Morgan Rielly was upset and jealous about all the attention Babcock gave Matthews at the World Championships a few weeks earlier. I remember chuckling and shaking my head when i read this. It was unbelievable!!! I mean, how low people can go just to get a story?? A friend of mine who's a hab fan heard about this and asked me "is it true there's already trouble around the Leafs in regards to the upcoming Auston Matthews selection? I heard that Morgan Rielly and others are jealous about it, etc." I explained to them that if you only read the transcript of the interview someone may interpret it that way, but that i had seen the interview live and it was obvious to 100% of the people watching the same interview that Rielly was obviously kidding around and using sarcasm in order to tease and make fun of the entire situation.

I also thought the Roenick suspension was an overreaction.

Regarding that Rielly interview, at that time there was a debate over whether Matthews or Patrik Laine should be the overall #1 pick. Many hockey experts really thought you could roll the dice, pick one and not go wrong. They have both proven to be point a game players, so the experts were largely proven correct. These 2 players could be traded for each other straight up, and neither GM could really dare ask for more in return.
