My question is how do you know SP's are coercing clients to vote for them and how do you know recent reviews are coerced? I don't see why it's an issue to encourage clients to write reviews and to vote on their website or social media, this isn't coercion. Coercion would be if a SP threatened a client just to get a good review or a vote. I don't know about ''fairness''.. To me it seems fairly normal for a SP to ask their regulars to vote for them for the contest, although
Because it reeks of favouritism.
And no one else is advertising themselves on their websites for votes.
The whole point of a contest is to have it be the most authentic.
You should’ve seen the amounts of new reviews people tried to sneak in.
I personally didn't do that because I just don't have the energy for it.
Me neither, but I’m still calling it out for others it’s unfair. And also. Many SPs weren’t even on the list at first.
Another way votes and reviews could be manipulated is if a SP offers services or freebies to a client in exchange for reviews.. which might happen, but honestly, from my perspective, it seems like it's not worth it. I'd much rather get a positive review from someone who genuinely likes me as a person and liked the service.
I’m not gonna go there for this because LOL.
We’ve hinted enough at freebies for reviews - and this still happens to this day. As someone said in prior responses. And the funny meme urquell did. SPs have done it.
Yes. All this. Agreed.I also tell my clients to switch from LL to other platforms even tho I have mixed feelings about judging how other SP's practice their advertising, because a lot of SP's can't afford having several ads on multiple platforms and LL is the easiest place to advertise and you do get more inquiries from it. (low quality ones, but if someone is just beginning and needs to build their clientele I can see why she would use LL a lot, particularly if her rates are on the low side)
