When someone is prompted to write a review from an SP, you can only assume that the review will be read by the person you're reviewing. Is that an honest review?
Why wouldn't it be honest? I've been in this industry for 3 years now, it's not that long but it's enough to know that if a client didn't like their experience with you, they will not write a positive review. If a SP you had a mediocre experience with asked you to write a positive review for her, would you do it? Probably not. As you said, good reviews follow good service.

How is it not honest if the client actually likes you and liked his experience with you? I've encouraged people to write reviews about me, not directly to any individual but on social media, and I will tell you that most people don't have the time or energy to write one. I've had clients make their first review about me not because I encouraged them to write it but because it was the first time they saw a SP in Montreal and had a good time with me. I don't understand why this would be dishonest.

I can also understand why a client who really likes spending time with a particular SP and likes her service would write a positive review if he saw something particularly nasty and unfair written about her.

I think it's pretty obvious. People can do what they want, but telling people that you're encouraging clients to leave positive reviews tells the average person here one thing.

The fact they are known to the SP implies that YMMV better next time. It's free advertising at that point.

That makes no sense to me. I've never personally encouraged a particular client to leave a positive review (a lot of clients have asked if i'd appreciate a review because they found me through this board as lurkers), but just like many SP's here, I have posted once in a while ''if you had a positive experience with me a nice review would be appreciated'' on X for example. A lot of businesses do this, they say on their social media that a positive review would be appreciated. That isn't coercing anybody into anything, and it doesn't mean the client will get better treatment next time. It's also often hard to tell who even left the review. And we know that clients here DM people to gather intel on specific SP's.

I'm not sure if you're implying that ''a client known to the SP'' is a regular client who gets free perks and then writes a good review... I haven't had that experience personally. Also a lot of new accounts writing one single review saw this specific SP for the first time, so it isn't like they are ''known'' by her. It's not free advertising, it's just how review systems for businesses work. Many of us SP's have started advertising here and hoping for good reviews because we want our business to grow and we want to offer a good service. We aren't asking for dishonesty. Personally I look through this board once in a while so I can find out how to make my service more appealing, while still being able to maintain boundaries.

I know very well that If someone didn't enjoy their time with me, they are not going to write a review at all. There are also users here who I know at least enjoyed their time with me at least sexually and had exactly the service they wanted, but they still didn't write a review. I can tell when someone is enjoying the booking and when someone is not, and most of the time my clients seem to like their time with me, but that doesn't mean they will write a comment about me.

Like I've said many times, a lot of clients don't want to engage in review culture, and I don't blame them. Valentina's post was encouraging lurkers to start writing reviews because people started complaining that lurkers are a problem. lol like I've said before so many clients don't even know about MERB or don't want to engage in the forum.

And I've said this before, but if a SP advertises here and says false things about her service and uses fake photos or something, she will be quick to be called out.

(btw i'm not trying to be unpleasant or argumentative, i'm just expressing what it's like for me as a SP navigating this review system which can be insanely frustrating, and like valentina pointed out, potentially really emotionally upsetting)

That is one of the reasons that Merb moved their servers to a prostitution legal country. Noticed the domain name? It is .cc which is in Cocos (Keeling) Islands which is Australian territory. Canadian LE has no jurisdiction here. Perhaps EagerBeaver is able to shed some light into this?
That is correct and I believe that's exactly why the servers were moved.

@Lunaseraphim, I hope you can understand that MERB members value objective reviews. That's the heart of this forum. The OP was not just "encouraging lurkers to start writing reviews." We're all in favor of that. Instead, she encouraged lurkers to write positive reviews "to help us SPs," and she implied that she would be recruiting clients to leave positive reviews for that same reason. In other words, she's encouraging and promoting only positive reviews in order to increase her (and other SPs') revenue. In doing so, she is explicitly undermining the goal of fair and objective reviews. I think that's pretty obvious. Does that mean that if an SP encourages a client to write a review, his review will be inaccurate or dishonest? No, of course not. But it's not a good look and it's not the way we want to be encouraging reviews. It's fundamental to any review site for any service or product: reviews should not be seen as a way to drum up business. Period.

I get your point and I understand why you want to feel like people are being honest, but also I understand where Valentina comes from because a lot of appreciative clients do not write reviews.. I however wrote in my comments that I don't think we should pressure anyone in particular to write a review, specially in this industry, there's a notion of consent and privacy.

The one thing I want to say again tho, is that no reviews are objective unless they contain information like ''there was a guy waiting for me in the other room'' or ''her pictures are fake'' or ''she was 30 minutes late''. Writing about the service and physical appearance is subjective imo, unless people are revealing that a SP promises a certain type of service and doesn't actually offer it, which is relevant info (particularly if several clients had the same experience)

Also, we are not products. That's the whole point. This isn't the same as reviewing the new milkshake at a popular fast food chain, or trying on a device that doesn't work and writing about it online. If you buy some kind of electronic device and a ton of people complain that it's defective and have a bug, that's objective. We can't talk like this about a human being. Bad reviews can be due to a lack of chemistry or just someone being in a bad mood or seeing somebody as an easy target, and good reviews can be because the person actually really gets along with this SP and has a connection or likes her particular type of service or she's her type and they have things in common. None of my bookings are ever the same.

I also disagree that reviews aren't connected to business because in a LOT of businesses people encourage positive reviews. Does this mean they will get them? Not from the clients who didn't like their experience, but those who would have forgotten to write a good word might remember to do so. I think people who sometimes say on their social media that they appreciate a kind word on a review board are confident about their service, because we know how ruthless a lot of people here can be. I just don't see why someone who didn't actually have a good time would write a positive review for a SP.

But I also agree that we can't make anyone want to write reviews and I personally think that if a client doesn't want to participate in review culture or write any reviews at all, which is something a lot of clients have told me, this should be respected by both SP's and clients. A lot of my regulars and repeat clients have never written a review for me and that's totally okay. They just have other things to do than engage on this forum, and I would never ask them to write something about me here.

Yeah that's what some of you guys think is happening when somebody wrote a good review? Maybe it's true in some cases, but I'd never do this personally, and I know most of my colleagues would not.. And I think it seems really far fetched to think that someone would cross their own boundaries just to have a single good review on MERB.

It's the exact opposite. If you're confident about your service you could give a fuck about reviews.

Of course bad reviews could affect buisness, but the point of objective reviews is to weed out reality. You say you've been doing this 3 years and on merb for how long? It may be a case of read the room.

There are plenty of SPs/MPs that have no issues because they keep a high standard, have a good amount of regulars, and due to reviews are well known for it. There are several examples to choose from on this board.

One example I'll let you do a search for is "Lana." I have never caught up with her personally, but for about a decade I don't know I've seen a single bad word written about her and only people singing praises. I believe it because it's been backed up so many times by well known members and on top of that several accounts of repeat visits.

There is nothing really more to it.

What I meant by “help us SPs” (and also all members, be it new or oldies) is help in a way that CONTRIBUTES to the forum which encompasses REVIEWS, THREADS, CONTESTS, and ENCOURAGING / REDIRECTING / looking out for one another. It can become very stagnant over here at times as an SP POV.

I’m not saying suck up to our asses n tits in our favour. Add something to the mix, do something instead of standing by, when and if you can.

Or… you just wanna log on to MERB to watch everyone’s moves / be in the lounge area mooching off of free exchanges with SPs on threads like “How to DFK”?

What you don’t understand is that USUALLY people pay to talk to us. But this forum called MERB - is also another platform for our WORK. Like all of us Supporting Members here using it. lol. We don’t need to be here in a way, just like you. But here we are … for you. Are you here for us?

Some of you fail to see our POV as WORKERS. The last thing I’m asking is for people to be fake when there’s plllllllenty of that going around.
My point, exactly, is to help everyone get around in our community - not only exchange with SPs in fun threads. You know how many people rub their dicks to us when they text us to book? … and they NEVER end up booking hahaha. We also don’t have to be here and exchange with you while some may be rubbing one out to the thought of us answering them.

You guys should be happy this site exists and be supportive about it in a more general manner instead of idly standing by. Be happy this is a healthy medium to support your favourite girls / hobby…

… Which, apparently many aren’t even hobbying anymore reading the elders comments. They’re just here. So how does that help everyone in keeping things fresh and up to date by not pitching in? When there’s new members though, lots are automatically suspicious about them and use their little MERB title and old account status to boast about themselves being an OG. Lmao. … ✨and still do nothing✨

Just because you’re into ebony, spinners, curvier, face, legs, ass, tits, DSLs, bimbos, ETC - doesn’t mean you can’t APPRECIATE the community as a whole. It’s such a broken record here sometimes and please try to understand that in a SP POV.

Lots of members are only here for the drama between SPs AND OR or to JACK OFF on romanticized reviews, or FREE exchanges with us on threads like;
“How to finger BASICS” “How to DATY/DATO 101” “Do SPs like monster cocks?” “Do you like it deep in your asshole?”…

Like bro.
Go watch YouTube tutorials lmao or go actually fuck. At some point it’s fkn ridiculous and like I said, us girls don’t usually exchange with guys for free outside of work. This is a work tool but we’re also here to answer you lmao. We get nothing in return for doing so.

This forum can be fkn fun but it remains a tool for us SPs - so what’s the point of it if everyone is suspicious, are bystanders or talk about “THE TRUDEAU CRIME FAMILY” on an escort site? (Btw that’s a gr8 thread LMAO)

I think the support you can give us SPs & one another in these forums has been lacklustre and unmotivating to say the least.

We invest A LOT, be it for advertising here AND elsewhere; our personal websites, consumables at our incall / outcalls, outfits, personal hygiene, cleanliness of the place, location, discreetness, aesthetics, gym, lingerie, ETC ETC ETC ETC. Our online branding for some… there’s so much you can talk about INSTEAD of just the usual shit that renders the review section kind of crass or kiss ass-y.

There’s so much else to appreciate with every SP.
Not that you asked me, but ATTITUDE trumps someone’s looks especially when giving a service that only gets more expensive with time. Lol. And trust me. I’d rather go see Big Bubba with some extra love handles but he’s a fkn GEM, clean, loves cats and has a great attitude… Then to go see Steroid Steve who is hot but is dumber than a box of hair and doesn’t even like his job.

One day there’s probably gonna be another site and MERB won’t be relevant anymore because no one contributes to it. Then everyone’s gonna cry and “remember the good ol’ days on MERB” and how there was an OG member - blablabla. You didn’t keep up with it. You didn’t support your girls or the community.

Use it - and if you don’t… then leave. What good is it for everyone then if you’re only gonna talk about irrelevant topics in other threads. Go on Reddit or somewhere else.

It’s like when women wear a band T-Shirt they don’t even know wtf the band’s music is. Why are you wearing it then?

Confident enough to address this issue when no one is.

The point of my thread wasn’t to beg for reviews. It’s about reviewing “properly”, fake engagement, new members, and old members or lurkers who don’t do much / contribute but then get suspicious of new members. Lmao.

Of course bad reviews could affect buisness, but the point of objective reviews is to weed out reality. You say you've been doing this 3 years and on merb for how long? It may be a case of read the room.

2 years here - have read the room and it’s pretty pathetic to see the FAKE reviews and engagement lmao. I wanna weed those out exactly. That’s why I made this thread. One of my points: favouritism and fake engagement. It’s in the title itself.

And lots of that happening with this years top SP contest lol… while many “underground” SPs don’t even make the list? Are they complaining? No. They have an established clientele + don’t even have many reviews. I’m all worried about my clientele & don’t need more. If that makes me sound cocky I don’t care. I’m used to cocks.

You talk about coerced reviews. Yeah what about coerced votes? Hello fake engagement! Or SPs asking to vote for them on their websites?. We didn’t get the memo to do that? That ain’t fair!
My awesome colleague @April Dyson won last year’s contest with authenticity and hard fkn work. She didn’t beg for votes LMAO.

Don’t care what type of contest it is, don’t even wanna win it - but do it in all fairness and if you’re gonna have a contest include everyone properly. Even the underground ones. Again. This is so fkn trivial in a civil POV. But for us SPs it’s annoying to see.

(Couldn’t give a rats ass about the contest. I even wrote to profiterol and self excluded myself because it’s rigged).

One line about contributing to the board in a positive way, re-explaining what everyone apparently didn't understand about your intentions. (we got it, honest). The entire rest of the post (and it was a logn post) explaining why SPs don't get enough love and how the guys should be doing more to express that love to them, and again about all the money that's beng spent for no return. So, two things. 1) The guys don't want to be told who to appreciate and how and when they have to appreciate them. They either will or they won't, based on service and attitude. 2) If you're paying to be here and you're not getting enough for your investment then stop doing it. Business 101.

Now, as for the sponsored reviewers go (new reviewers in some cases) pretend you're on Amazon. You see a product that interests you and you see the reviews and they're all or mostly titled "this review was made as part of a paid promotion" how seriously do you take them? I ignore them completely and look for the reviews from people who weren't paid or pushed to review the product. If there aren't enough of them I move to a new product. The perception you're creating from the line you're taking on reviews and pushing reviewers to the site is already creating negative feedback from the guys here. How is this going to benefit the SPs?

I am confident about my service and I think it's a bit odious for you to imply that I'm not just because I know us SP's could have an entire month or more ruined because of a particularly bad review, which could be given because the client was rude or we refused to cross a boundary for him. I'm confident about my service and I don't have that many reviews but I have several regulars and repeat clients. I don't have any trouble getting clients. But as someone who's not working for an agency or a spa, I have to make sure to keep my business going, which is why I'm on this board. :)

Also the way many clients here talk about women will create self doubt in anybody which is why most SP's refuse to engage and why a lot of us have a no review policy. You need to put yourself in our shoes a little bit.

I think this thread was created with good intentions and was a bit misunderstood. Personally I never said that people should be forced to write good reviews about us, more draw attention to the fact that reviews aren't objective (which is something many complain about when it seems "too positive") and that a lot of clients don't want to write reviews which tbh I wouldn't if I was them either. If you only want to see a SP who has 10 pages of positive reviews that is your choice. Have a good day!

Yeah so sorry but you’ve yapped a lot too in long posts. So? (We also got it, honestly)

You still fail to see that this isn’t about attention lmao or that we’re begging for business.
I’m all worried. Don't need more clients, heck I do this full time and I need breaks because I’m too busy.
If you want to reply to my shit take the time to actually read what I’m saying instead of saying itS LoNg.
Active listening / reading 101.

Negative feedback? Lmao. The guys who don’t like me just simply won’t book me. Again I’m all worried. And I guess I’m weeding out the ones I won’t want either for my business. Win-win

But it’s okay @urquell :p

I’ll just stfu like you want me to do. I’ll go be a good little whore and go tend to my sandwich business in the kitchen. WOMP WOMP :(

Confident enough to address this issue when no one is.

The point of my thread wasn’t to beg for reviews. It’s about reviewing “properly”, fake engagement, new members, and old members or lurkers who don’t do much / contribute but who then get suspicious of new members. Lmao.

I'm just wondering in what world a review or vote could be coerced unless the client was threatened or the SP offered something she normally doesn't to him.. and personally I don't see the point in putting so much energy just to get one single positive review.

I don't really know what counts as a "fake review" and how we can spot these. I've seen reviews who were written by the SP herself in the past under an alias but they were spotted by the mods and changed. Could also be possible that employers would be writing reviews under different accounts to boost their business but once again it's impossible to tell.

I don't think it's bad for SPs to ask for votes or reviews personally. I just don't see what's wrong with it. As indies in particular we have a business to run. The only thing I've ever done was write on X "hey if you ever had a positive experience with me a good review would be appreciated" once or twice, and it didn't yield any result.

Clients choose when they want to send a vote or write a good review. I've had happy clients tell me they were going to write a positive review about me, without me asking, and then they didn't because life happens and they have other things to do than write reviews on merb and they probably forgot.

A lot of clients also told me that they used to participate in the board and they choose not to because they don't have the time or other reasons.

I really liked engaging with clients at first here and I like some of you a lot even if you're not my clients but my comments are often interpreted as belligerent even tho that is not my intention and I'm just trying to get people to see things from our perspective. I thought Valentina was trying to do the same so that's why I responded to this thread.

I apologize if I bothered anyone.
