More pain, no gain with Bob
Four comments:
1 Higgins is a hard-working player with the potential to star on a team which can provide him with teammates who have some offensive talent and a less defensive system. Gainey's gotten rid of him for a player with a huge long term contract on the downside of a hardly extraordinary career.
2 I thought that Gainey was simply bland. I didn't realize that he is simply simple.
3 I don't remember: Didn't he play before head gear was mandatory? Did he wear a helmet? He did a lot of body-checking. Did he lower his shoulder and hit with his head?
4 Gainey and Houle have been the Canadiens' GMs for about half of the last two dozen years. How can one imagine that it has been possible for the Leafs to still have managed to have a worse record?
