I concure with you ! Fantastic move !!! And if Bob gets Mats Sundin with us, then we are Cup contenders ! :)

So if hockey's dullest person alive signs one of the Leafs "over-the-hill" rejects, the Habs will be Cup contenders? Interesting.....

Sundin is not a reject Doc. He does have two good years on him. Bob Mckenzie among others support Bob's move ! For the right price.

How dumb is the Toronto organization?

Answer: As dumb as any organization that ever existed - in OR out of the sports world.

In fairness though: the Laughs WILL be one of the best 30 teams in the NHL next season. (But NOT one of the best 29 - heh heh).

The real question is how long it will take that turncoat Doc # 1 to jump off the Leafs bandwagon - will he break his own record, which he just established in the 2007-2008 season?

Alex who? Did he play in the NHL last year? AHL? Ligue Nord-Americaine (a.k.a. "The Goon League")? What were his stats last year?

Pretty rich – coming from someone who not too long ago said “Toronto will squeeze into 7th or 8th spot & there's no chance in hell that the Habs make the playoffs. They are just terrible!”. I would go back and highlight your other insightful predictions, like “the Huet/Price tandem isn't any better than either the Toskala/Raycroft ” but you probably deleted those posts in an attempt to remove any incriminating evidence. Any sage predictions for the upcoming 08/09 season? Yeah, that's what I thought!

Not too long into the regular season, probably by late November or early December when the Sundin-less Maple Turds are languishing at the bottom of the standings, on their way to missing the playoffs for a fourth straight year! :D

"over-the-hill" rejects?

Year Team GP G A Pts +/-
2007-08 Toronto 74 32 46 78 +17

Those look like pretty decent numbers to me. Sundin was Toronto's only first line player and the only reason your shitty Maple Craps didn't finish dead last. You lose again, but you should be used to losing by now! :D

Huet? You mean goalie Crystobal Huet who was literally given away to the Washington Capitals last season on deadline day? I suppose even "the most boring person alive" also didn't think much of him and his tandem with that choker Carey Price & figured he'd do his own team a favor by trading him to a conference rival.

If any other team has "rejects" like that they want to unload, we'll be happy to take them off your hands.

Hint to Doc, don't pick the Leafs, pick the Pens. ;)

It depends if Malkin will be playing in Russia or not. If not, he still may get traded if they can't re-sign him to a new multi-year contract since his present contract expires at the end of the upcoming season. Will they sign any free agents? Hossa is likely gone to some team who will grossly overpay for his services. Colby Armstrong & Erik Christensen are no longer there. Gary Roberts will likely retire & if not, his productive years are long gone & he's injury-prone. Will Ryan Malone be around? Lots of question marks. I'll have to evaluate the situation within the next few weeks once the free-agent signing frenzy begins on July 1st.

Hi Doc ! I agree with you. To choose the Pens is risky at this point. Hossa...he can go to hell as far as I'm concerned. Mario Lemieux's priority is to make sure that Malkin stays put and happy with his contact. In my book Malone is also a must ! A native boy, playing in his own city, with great leadership. Shero is missing on the Big Picture. Let go of Hossa and aim at Brian Campbell !!! Take your time Doc. I beleive that besides the Pens, the Devils or the Flyers might be long shots. Ottawa, The Rangers and possibly Boston might even pull the upset like the Canadiens did last year ! Kisses xxxXXXxxx

Penguins- you are forgetting that Staal will be another year older..he will continue to grow and develop..

Hey Nadya..I will laugh if Hossa ends up in Montreal..Remember, we traded with the Habs for his " runt " brother..certainly not as good as Marion..

Best Regards

Smuler
