Why does LE want clients to stop seeing escorts? Like, why now, unless I missed an announcement? And that would mean Independents would be at risk nearly as much as agencies, as LE could watch clients entering even a residence.

I think we’ve all jumped the shark here. Back to regularly scheduled programming. Be safe. Have fun. There’s not a sex cop around every corner waiting with cuffs.
I meant that all I read are clients panicking, I am not! And make clients reflect and end the demand is the goal of our Canadian law. It might not last, but clearly taking down that agency touched a nerve.

Is it like the stock market?

When there is a crash and people panicking, there are others steady bunch who benefits from it?

I don’t see any benefit in booking with an agency other than price.
I will pay the extra for an Indy I know and trust.

No it doesn’t.
There is no law in asking for an escort for companionship, it is perfectly legal.
They cannot prove you didn’t want a guided tour of Montreal or just a companion for dinner or whatever.
As long as your text doesn’t contain reference to any kind of sexual activity GFE etc… they have nothing.
Screenshot_20260323_215015_Google.jpg This is what I found. But you might be right. They have to prove that you sent a text to buy sexual services so if there is nothing explicit then they got no case. Then again I am not a lawyer. Perhaps @EagerBeaver can shed some light in this even from a US perspective.

I knew about this from what people have told me. A few girls approached me to ask for help on how to quit agency work or asked for advice when going indy because they saw my comments here. I don't think it's the case for all agencies and I don't want to be accused of making clients feel bad for going to them...

In the case of xo, from what I've heard, the owner drugged many girls, threatened to out them etc. This isn't in the article but I believe people who told me because there are other men in the industry who have had this behavior towards employees. It's definitely not everyone and everywhere tho.
I heard the same thing… never worked for one but he would try to hangout with the new girls and drug them and had sex with them or he would get girls to agree to have a paid sex relation and never pay them. Also guys, every parlour and every agency in any cities in Canada has a late fee, missed appointment fee etc… I heard girls quitting because they missed a shift and it 300-500$ or girls having UTIs and having to come in and show they pee blood to not get the fee, couldn’t get a doctors note.. that’s all the things ive been hearing. Gooooo Indy or actually if you do like a girl stick with her and she’ll eventually tell you if she feels comfortable. Rarely a girl will say what’s going on when they first meet you… sometimes bosses send their friends to test out the girls… especially if there’s been complaints.

For agencies girls were forced to do GFE and bosses would look at reviews and tell the girl she’d get fired even if she mentioned the client was disrespectful…

For parlours usually less strict I’ve heard but I’d doesn’t matter if it’s women or men boss most act the same.
