Guys,

Apologism! Suddenly after screaming about morals you dump your ethics/morals standards to protect anything in pinstripes.

Not to mention Rodriguez has always been one to defy and persist in bad ethical behavior habitually on the field and off with no shame, the kind of person with no standards who is ethically WORTHLESS.

Cheers,

Merlot

Gee, Merlot, I'm not protecting anyone, especially Mr. Arod. I am one of those who thought Arod should have been banned for the time he was and maybe longer. That decision is not up to me. He will surely have an BIG asterisk * next his records, as will Barry Bonds and Manny Ramirez and Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire.

And if you want to go across sports, add Bill Belacheat and Tom Shady Brady. We could add more names, but you know what I mean, good buddy. :D

My statement was, if you read it, I doubt Arod is doing steroids at the moment, because the risk is much too large. He would be banned permanently, forever, including any possible coaching or scouting roles in the majors or minors. But nowhere have I defended Alex Rodriguez for any of his past infractions, nor will I ever. But can you say the same for yourself and Tom Brady? I don't think so, Merlot.

There you go again.

You appoint yourself Brady's judge and executioner of Brady's reputation over air in a football, something Dan Marino laughed at, chasing him with an indelible cheating brand with rabid inquisition-like enthusiasm, but when it comes to pinstriped Rodriguez caught using steroids suddenly judgment is not up to you and he can go to the All-Star game too. . Another complete turn around in standards.

He got caught 100% once with the same risk, then did it all over again proving you wrong in doing so.

Apologizing/excusing a repeat offender is quite a failure.

Merlot, your logic defies any rational reasoning.

Read again, if you ever did read, what I said. Arod's punishment is not up to me, not that he was guilty or not. Arod was guilty. I believe that.

And look at what you are doing with Brady. You are denying he ever tampered with the footballs, which how the NFL did NOT rule. You are the one who is writing page after page defending Brady on her. So who is the hypocrite, Merlot? It's not me.

Here is an interesting stat about a streak that will end on Tuesday night, but it could pick up again. Take it for what it is worth, even if you don't think it is worth much.

The American League East teams have a combined winning streak of 16 games. Now this would not be considered a consecutive winning streak for all teams because during the Yankees and Blue Jays winning streaks, the other teams have lost, but at this juncture each team has a winning streak even if it is just 1 game.

NY Yankees: 6 game winning streak
Tampa Bay Rays: 1 game
Toronto Blue Jays: 5 games
Boston Red Sox: 3 games
Baltimore Orioles: 1 game

No games involving AL East teams are scheduled for Monday. Boston plays Baltimore Tuesday. That's the only series which AL East teams play next. Baltimore plays NYY next after the Boston series.

The AL West has a 14 game combined losing streak:

Houston has lost the last 4 games.
Texas 1 game.
LA Angels 5 games.
Seattle 1 game
Oakland 3 games.
If Houston loses against Chicago White Sox, the streak can extend to 15 games.

But on Tuesday, Oakland starts a series against the Texas Rangers. So the losing streak will be broken.

Very interesting. However, the Jays are currently playing against Miami and destroying them.

I missed that game on the schedule. So it can go to 17 tonight.

And 17 it is after easily beating the Marlins last night. Tonight, they're sending Mark Buehrle to the hill against these same Marlins. He's been great lately and pitched a complete game against Washington in his last outing.

Everything seems to be working right now for the Jays, even though they've been battling a rash of injuries, currently with three starters out of the lineup. The return of Jose Reyes has revitalized the team and the entire pitching staff has stabilized itself. Bautista is hitting homeruns and is playing in the outfield again, Colabalo has come out of nowhere and is leading the league in hitting, and Jays fans who were once skeptical of the Russell Martin signing are finally realizing how valuable he can be to a baseball team.

Other than the O's, the entire AL East is playing great baseball right now and is slowly regaining its claim as the toughest division in baseball.

All teams in the majors have been playing streaky and unpredictable baseball. There is only 1 team over .600, the St. Louis Cardinals, who are 38-20 (.655). The team with the closest record is Kansas City, which is 32-23, .582. Is there such parity in the MLB? or is it mediocrity? I am just not sure.

Tanaka was lights out against the Nationals and Max Scherzer. Tanaka gave up 5 hits and 1 run (ER) and struck out 6, as the Yankees extended their streak to 7 games in their 6 to 1 win over the Nationals.

Toronto also has a 7 game winning streak, as the Bluie Jays are now .500 with 30 wins and 30 losses.

The Red Hosers Loss gave them sole possession of last place. Three cheers for you Red Sox fans!!!! :thumb::cheer2::cheer2:

The Jays and Yanks are finally playing the way they expected in the spring as are the rouge hose, at least from those in the know. Long summer tho.

The Yanks have Ivan Nova progressing nicely as well and should be in the bronx within the month if all continues to go well. He had his first live game action monday and was also lights out in 4 plus innings.

Tough day for the Yankees. They lost a tough one against Washington & even tougher, they lost closer Andrew Miller to what is reported a 'forearm strain'. He was immediately put on the 15-day DL today. Ouch!!!!

In other news, the hottest team in the AL, the Toronto Blue Jays, won their 8th against Miami today. The Jays will face the Red Sox next for a weekend series. The Red Sox are currently playing at Camden Yards against the Orioles.

First No Hitter of the Year. It's only 1 game. No skin off any team's collective nose. Giants Rookie pitcher Chris Heaton hit 3 Mets batters and walked none, therefore, no perfect game.

Another STELLAR (haha) performance by the soon to be $21million dollar man, Ricky Porcello. Another 5 earned runs in 5.1 innings to get that robust (haha) era even higher. Way to go benny boy, might as well sign Wade (guy) sMiley to the same extention! You can't make this stuff up, I swear!

Oh, my the Rogue Hosers have themselves a winner. His ERA is 5.26 and his WHIP is 1.45. Doesn't he get a bonus if his ERA goes over 6.00 and his WHIP over 1.80? Another winner by the Red Sox, who are in sole possession of last place 6.5 games behind the first place Yankees and 2 games behind the O's, who are in 4th place.

Correction, his ERA is 5.25 and his WHIP is 1.43. You're right. SABATHIA sucks. Bet you a $$$million$$$ you won't be saying bad things about him. So superficial of you my little pink hat fan.

BTW pal. CC is 3 - 7. OMG, he's actually leading the league in LOSSES. That's hilarious. If only he could lose weight as fast as he loses games. You're right about the BONUS though. CC gets $2 million more next year for all those loses.

Sandoval just cost the Red Sox another game, the 3rd this month. His sad lack of hitting isn't so much of a problem as giving the damn games to the other team. He now has 8 errors easily closing on a personal record.

Awful,

Merlot

Red Sox lost again (same old story every night). The Rogue Hosers are 7 games behind the first place New York Yankees and Boston is STILL in sole position of LAST PLACE.

How's that for a bit of reality, you Boston fans?

C'mon SK, really? REALLY????

CC has a WS Ring which he helped win and has had great years, unfortunately father time has caught up with him somewhat.

Ricky Porcello, Benny E. Boy Cherringtons biggest mistake so far (and there are many and more to come ***cough*** sandoval, ***cough*** ramirez) is signing a unproven (for 21mil a year) pitcher with little upside to that ridiculous contract and should get benny E boy fired eventually. Ricky Porcello had his "career year" last year it would seem. Have fun with him for another several years in chow-DUH town

Remind me again what Cheeseburger's ERA & WHIP is? ;)
