Thanks iggy, I hope they are right. Because this trade makes no sense.

Arizona would never trade Domi Iggy

If it was Domi for Tinordi, it would be 2 ex NY Ranger sons

Best Regards

They are saying on tsn690 that this is a small trade before a biggie, at least they hope lol... saying something in the works with edmonton is the rumour

So does it mean that John Scott was the key ingredient required for that 'biggie' to happen? :D

I am presently speechless, don't understand the logic behind the trade.

No one can understand that trade either. Maybe in a few days we'll hear that Marc Bergevin admitted himself into alcohol rehab, who knows. None of this makes any sense! :noidea:

Look on the bright side: the habs just obtained one of the all-star game captains. Many have complained that there was a lack of leadership on that team, so there you go. You have another captain! ;)

This trade is very similar to the infamous John Kordic for Russ Courtnall trade that was made many years ago, where the Leafs wound up facing ridicule for many years.

Jared Tinordi was a first-round pick. Not only was he a first-round pick, the habs traded down five spots in order to obtain him and gave up their own 1st-round pick plus their 2nd-round pick in the process.

Unbelievable!

I've taken your advice and that's where i've been since my last post. Great stuff out there!!! I learned a new one: "Bargain Bin Bergevin." I love it!!

Or this one:

"I was a MB fan from the start and I even defended him on a few occasions. But now, wow... Go away Frankie Boyle, go away Lewis Black and go away George Carlin I've got me someone new to make me laugh." :D

Here's another good one i just found:

"Just the fact of the Habs getting associated with that giant boob of John Scott, how embarassing.

And then Bargain Bin ships people out on account of minor transgressions, cause the Habs pristine image demands it.

How does John Scott jive with that?

Bargain Bin, go back to Chicago, you hack."

Hillarious stuff!!!

Keep those quotes coming my good man.

PS..... speaking of where is everyone, what about Mr. Joe.t? I knew he was camping out along st cath's back in October because he wanted a front row centre seat for some parade he was prediciting for June 2016 but even he has long sense packed that idea in.

Here is what one long time poster over there said after Chicago kicked the habbies butt, 5-2 last night

i've watch this team and have never sen anything as sad, embarrassing, pathetic as whats going on right now......this organization doesn't even come close to a good one like the hawks on or off the ice......the C H now stands for Clown Hockey in my books.....

Sometimes when i walk along Ste-Catherine street and walk by some street people sleeping along the sidewalk, i wonder sometimes if they're not die-hard habs fans still waiting for the Stanley Cup parade to come by.....

By the way, the next two games are crucial for the habs and the organization as a whole. If they lose against Boston, Michel Therrien's coaching career with the habs may come to an end. If they also lose the following game against the Leafs, then he's definitely cooked. But the wrong guy will be the scapegoat: Marc Bergevin should be the one getting the ax, followed by long-time chief scout Trevor Timmins, who has done a below average job over the years.

Isn't Karma a bitch? Remember all those habbies fans laughing when the 18 wheeler went off the cliff a couple times in Toronto..... Ah yes, that sexy sexy bitch named KARMA :D :thumb:
Earlier today i had heard that the habs had contacted the Oilers about RNH's availability. Well, it looks like a trade won't happen. RNH broke his hand and his status is he'll be out long-term.

My friend, you know very well that for the past few seasons, i've told everyone who listened that the habs were nothing but a one-man team. A mediocre team with a great goalie. A mirage. Few people took me seriously. The day after Price went down, i decided to put a lot of money against the habs in their upcoming games. One of my sibblings thought i was nuts. Although he hated the habs, he told me that Price's absence wouldn't matter much since they had a very good team. I told him what i've been saying for the past few years: that they were nothing but a one-man team....a marginal team at best with a great goalie.

Well, i've been smiling since and have been planning a few trips thanks to Mr. Price's absence. Now after i remind them that Carey Price is a goaltender and not a goal scorer, they tell me that their players play differently in front of any other goalie not named Price: they hold onto their sticks too tightly. They're more nervous. They don't take as many chances. The most recent one is that Price plays the puck better and he's like a third defenceman out there. Come on guys!!!! These are professional hockey players, not bantams!!!! They play in the world's #1 hockey league and are supposed to be among the world's best!!! Whatever to the infamous habs philosophy which appears in their dressing room: NO EXCUSES????

All this is telling me, if i'm to believe their excuses, is that they're basically a shit team which can't win without its star goaltender. That's what it's telling me!!! It's telling me that any of the other 29 teams in the league would rarely lose a game if Carey Price was their goaltender!! It basically tells me that if everything would be equal and if Carey Price wouldn't be in the league, then the habs would always be in last place!! Honestly, folks!!!

Speaking of last place, were the season to begin on Dec 1st, the habs would have the worst record in the league!!! I'm not kidding you!! And by far!! They'd be on pace for a 37 points season!!! Look, that's not even being bad or below average, that's downright mediocre!!

The funny thing is that i expect Price to be back this season. My guess is in March. I keep saying that he'll be 100% healthy when he returns, but i'm not buying it. He did have arthroscopic surgery on his right knee according to my sources, but my belief is that more intensive surgery is required. I also believe that they'll play slightly better with Price between the pipes and will likely squeeze into the playoffs. This is good since it means they won't be a lottery team and it also means they'll wind up picking late in the first round next June.

Look, if it is indeed true that they don't play the same way without Price, then they need to fire their sports psychologist (Dr. Guimond) and hire someone else since he's obviously not doing the job he's paid to do!

The hab-nots lost there 21st game of the season tonight. The Leafs have only 20 losses. The hab-nots were supossed to be a cup contending team (rofl) this season, at least to their homer fans. Meanwhile the Leafs complete tear down and rebuild is on schedule and as Shana-planned :thumb:

Anyone seen ghg  Doc, quick, make a post with something your sources have told you so we can make sure he is allright and has not jumped off the Jacques Cartier Bridge yet!!

My sources haven't heard a single peep in regards to ghg and other habs fans in this board. Personally, i must admit that the board desertion by those same habs fans over the past month or so is absolutely astonishing!

Where have all the habs fans gone? :noidea:

Hello to all merb members. FYI, I was away for a week, went to varadero Cuba. Enjoyed my vacation. Got back in time for the all star game. It was a feel good story, happy for John Scott. I like the 3 on 3 format. Disappointed with my team, Montreal. They were the last people to congratulate the mvp, and he is property of the habs. Good weekend for the NHL despite the commissioner. Glad to get away, needed a change of scenery. As for the habs they should be sellers and get rid of some of their players.

I agree with everything you wrote. As for them being sellers, i agree. But it won't be easy. There isn't a very high demand for their so-called 'assets' and the players other teams might want the habs don't want to trade them. Were a player like Plekanec be moved, the habs would be expected to pick up a portion of his contract since he's not worth $6 million US a season. As for Markov, he has a no-trade clause and i doubt he'd want to leave Montreal at his age, no matter how much $$ the team would be prepared to bribe him in order to get him to void his no-trade.
