Where are all the habs fans these days

Quick update, as of this post the Leafs, who are under a full mode rebuild, have 14 losses. Le Canadian, who if you listened to their fans after the first nine games of the season (lol) were on their way to greatness, also have 14 losses!!.

Iggy lets wait and see where the two teams finish at the end of the year. Price will be back soon I hope. As for Doc you are a smart business man. The Habs are in a major slump.

Habs fans are continuously delusional into thinking their awful slump is because of Carey Price's injury. As far as i know, Carey Price doesn't score goals. When a nobody like Carr is your leading scorer, it's quite telling. The players who are supposed to be scoring only have 1 to 2 goals in December. Pacioretty sucks. PK sucks. Plekanec sucks. Dale Wiese is playing on the first line. Galchenyuk isn't playing enough. The rest of the 'stars' aren't doing anything. Were it not for the likes of Carr, Byron and Andrigetto (who also isn't playing much), the habs would barely have any goals throughout the month of December. Meanwhile, Condon has done the job and usually limits the opposing team to 2-3 goals a game while playing brilliantly in some of those games. Were it not for him against Washington, the game would have ended 7-1.

No folks, the problem isn't goaltending. The problem is a serious lack of offensive talent and a bunch of lazy overpaid players who aren't earning their paycheque.

Good luck....

For the first time in years, it does not matter to most Leaf's fans "where they finish this year", the Leafs are finally under a complete tear down and rebuild from the ground up, our time is coming sooner than you think but not this season, at least not for a cup run, i could see them making the playoffs in a eastern conference filled with parity. The Canadians time to win aka their window of opportunity with that vaunted core (lol), is NOW. I told everyone since day one that if Price goes down, so does the team but i never imagined they would loose 6 in a row and not be able to score. They had a easy schedule as well the first part of the season and caught a lot of teams off guard, a time of the year when things do not matter as much.

They still have a chance to right the ship, they are a decent team when healthy but not a cup contender. Look at all the teams that have won the cup the last several years. Whats the common denominator?

1. Great Goaltending (check)

2. A Stud D-man. Sorry but Subban is good but not a stud, he won the Norris in the shortened season, not in a 82 game grind of a season, he only played 42 games and really, did not even deserve to win it that year.

3. A true big and/or skilled #1 Centre....sorry but when your top two centres have been named Plekanecs and Desharnais, you just ain't winning a Cup with those two, they disappear come playoff time because of the extra tight checking and they are small and easily knocked off the puck.

4. A leader of a Captain. Where the heck has Max #67 been when not scoring empty netters, this season?

I would  and never let habby fans forget it if the Leafs somehow (it wont happen though) had more points at the end of the season. The Canadians are expected to have more points than the Leafs this season, by a long shot, but will they?

One thing though, if the Canadians had Mister Mike Babcock as coach, they would NEVER lost 6 games in a row, part of the problem (a huge part) is Therrien, ;) (but shhhhhhhh, dont tell Bergervin, non habby fans want to see coach Michelle stick around for several more years)

Iggy lets wait and see where the two teams finish at the end of the year. Price will be back soon I hope. As for Doc you are a smart business man. The Habs are in a major slump.

Agreed on all counts. No need to add anything. Expertly analyzed. Again.

Thank you my good man and right back at ya, you always offer expert analysis yourself. At this point Doc, you could be GM of the lowly Mtl Canadians and do a better job than Bergervin who btw is the only likable habby besides Price but unlike Price, Bergy-Boy is fast going downhill from being a good gm to less than stellar at his craft. Maybe the Habbys could pry Brian Burk awaye from Calgary? Oh wait, he would need to speak french lol....or is that just the coach? LOL!

Looks like the Oilers traded Shrivens to Montreal, forgot who we got on return but we do not need Shrivens, pretty sure we got someone out of rehab and not a defenseman

Kassian for Scrivens.... neither will help either team much if at all, short term. Long term if Kassian ever beats drug addiction, this could be a steal for the Oilers.

One of my sources is currently in touch with me to give me details of an incident which led to the trade. Once i get the specifics, i'll post them. If what i'm hearing is indeed true, Bergevin had no choice but to send his ass to cold northern Alberta!

Once again a huge and hearty Merci Beaucoup to you for saving my prediction post on how les scabitants would do in those last nine games and as predicted, they did an awesome job, going 2-7!

Lets go one more game shall we? The Winter Classic against Boston. Can the Canadians pick up the win or will they go 2-8 in there last ten? Doc, got any money on the big game New Years Day?

I'll quote this now so that it's saved for posterity. Then 9 games from now we can see how well your prediction turned out. MY prediction is that it will turn out as well as all the OTHER predictions you've made since 2008.

Good luck:thumb:

They could dangle some of their forwards (Nudgent-Hopkins, Eberle, Yakupov, Hall) to teams such as Nashville and Montreal. The Preds would likely part with Webber for such players. Same thing with the habs and Subban. Subban isn't bringing anything to the habs. One goal and the team has become one of the worst scoring teams in the league over the past dozen games or so. His mind is elsewhere and he's grossly overpaid. Believe it or not, but Carey Price isn't even an untouchable (if he is, he shouldn't be) if the right deal comes along. They're trying to obtain a top forward, but the other team wants Mtl's top forwards...okay, there aren't many of them, but still. The key may be in trading Carey Price and gets a few top forwards back. They have one of the best goaltending coaches in the league (Stephane Waite) and he's done wonders everywhere he's been.

Well, the Rangers won last night and are back in front of the rival Islanders. However, the Isles are back in action tonight against Buffalo, so things could once again change in the standings. In other news, the annual New Year's outdoor game is on tomorrow afternoon in Boston and the habs were just handed a gift in the fact the league suspended possibly the best player on the Bruins this season, Brad Marchand. He was suspended for three games, meaning he'll miss tomorrow's game. Since the habs are in a near-historical slump right now, losing 10 out of 12, the league's decision just gave them a boost for the upcoming game. Another boost will be the possible return of super-pest Brendan Gallagher to the lineup.

Should the habs lose tomorrow's game, i have a feeling there'll be some changes made. Possibly the coach being fired? Major trade? Who knows. But the heat is on in Montreal!
