I submit a situation to you:
An organization requests permission to use something that belongs to someone.
Permission is refused.
So said organization decides to give a damn about having permission, and decides to use what has been denied, and that twice rather than once.

It's unacceptable.

Well that's exactly what happened at the Republican convention.

Trump's organization requested permission from Leonard Cohen's succession to use his song Halleluiah, the succession flatly refused. So Trump said we play it anyway and do that twice, without paying copyright. The succession is suing Trump.

Trump doesn't respect anything especially when it comes to his re-election.

Neil Young, REM, Aerosmith, Adele, Elton John, Queen, Earth Win & Fire, The O'Jays, Rihanna, Linkin Park, The Beatles, Georges Harrison, The Rolling Stones, Twisted Sister, Pharell williams, Guns N'Roses ( Axl Rose), Nickelback, Prince, Tom Petty, Leonard Cohen.

Yes these are all people who need a lot of visibility to publicize their musical creations, and yes the majority are poor.

I don’t allow musicians to influence how I vote. If I did I would only be allowed to listen to country music. Musicians and actors have no idea how the real world operates. So the dems can have all the musicians and actors they want, their opinions mean nothing IMHO.

Never heard of a popular actor or singer constantly craving more publicity and wanting to stay in the limelight forever.
Never heard of a rich man wanting more money either.
Actors and singers are the people that live in the real world and we should hold them up as shining examples and follow their lead.

One more stat: According to the FBI, Black males are 6% of the population and they commit 55% of violent crimes. As a result, they have more run ins with the law.

The Washington post said that 15 unarmed black men and something like 27 unarmed white men were shot by the police.

Maybe one difference is that if a white ne’er-do-well fights with and disarms and tases police while fighting with them when they wake him up drunk in a Wendy’s drive through and is shot by the police, no one in the white community would give a shit. Good riddance they would say to that guy who was doing time for child cruelty and kidnapping. But when a black man is shot, it’s time to get a free TV and it’s fun to burn down the neighborhood. Also, it’s time for white woke liberal woman in their LuLu Lemons to “feel good” by shouting in the face of a cop wearing riot gear. Way to use that liberal arts degree from the school of Social Sciences. You go girl.
